His passion

This is a layout about my husband`s passion: Kung Fu. The chinese characters say " Shaolin Tiger and Dragon Style Kung Fu". I created a mask for the characters and "stamped" them with the Tim Holtz blending tool and Walnut Stain Distress Ink. The scallop border is from Hero Arts (I made the circle around the dragon with it, too), the dragon stamp from Heindesign (German manufacturer). For the title, I cut a strip of structured cardstock, inked it with the walnut ink and ran it through my Dymo label maker. Then I used sandpaper to "reveal" the letters. All the stamping is done with spritzed ink to make it more "dirty". I tried to make this layout look like one of the ancient pictures of the old martial artists.

I really love those grunge techniques of Tim Holtz! Can`t wait to try some more of his techniques soon! I hope my ordered candy arrives on tuesday (on monday is a holiday here...).
Thanks for stopping by!

Have a great sunday!

Raspberry Suite Color challenge #7

Hello! The deadline for this week`s Raspberry Suite Color challenge has been extended (thanks to missing Mr. Linky) and I had the chance to create a card tonight! My froggy seems to have the raspberry measles :). I used an embossing pen for the dots, the frog stamp is from Imaginisce (snag`em stamps). I always finish my projects at night (while my baby is sleeping), so I am afraid there won`t be clear photos of my cards...
Oh, I am so excited, I ordered something from the states for the first time in my life! I shopped at Papertrey Ink, just couldn`t resist!!! I love their versatile stamps. But it hurts that I have to pay $40 (!!!) for the postage, that would have been 2 more stamps sets! Well, I am sure it is worth it...
Thanks for stopping by! (I am so happy about your first comments! Feels fantastic :))

Have a great and inspiring day!

Elephant card

Hello! This is a card I created for our neighbour twins for their 1st birthday. I will take part in the caardvarks shape card challenge with this. First I stamped the Elephant (Prima Marketing) and scanned it into my computer. Then I added the "1" in Indesign and printed the enlarged image onto the Bobunny paper. I cut the image out, colored the swirls with copics, added the Hero Arts Spring Buttons, the ribbon and the stamped tags (Hero Arts Cute Letters) and voilá! Sorry for the blurry photo, today it is raining...
Thanks for stopping by!

Have a great day,

Manly card/CFH

This is a card for this week`s Hero Arts challenge. This week`s request is to create a masculine project. Hero Arts also asked us to create cards for CFH and I thought this would be perfect. I can`t imagine how it must feel for the soldiers and their families, but I thought this must be the toughest part.
Thanks for stopping by!
Have a great day,
