Another Tuesday Trigger Monday

This morning it triggered me to create this card, using up some of my Cosmo Cricket scraps:

Love to have the feeling that I used up scraps before cutting into new paper :)

Be sure to check out the Tuesday Trigger, there is a new one every Tuesday on Moxie Fab World - no prizes, but tons of fun and inspiration! And maybe you have your own Trigger, then mail it to Cath, the guidelines are mentioned on Moxie Fab World!

Have a fabulous Monday!

Hugs,
Vanessa

Patterned Paper: Cosmo Cricket, Stamp: Hero Arts, Punch: Martha Stewarts Craft

Christmas in the Old Country

Hello! I hope you had a fantastic weekend! We went to our first Christmas Market - can`t believe that it`s Christmas time already! Although I am creating Christmas cards all the time I am not "in the mood" yet. I hope that`ll change!
Cath is hosting another great challenge on Moxie Fab World. This one is challenging for me, I hope my card qualifies for "Christmas in the Old Country"! The colours and the pattern of my card remind me of it:

Be sure to check out the amazing entries - jump in! For all my Hero Arts friends - if you are lucky enough to own the Cleardesign Dolls set (russian babushka dolls) that would be PERFECT for this challenge!

Ok, I hope I didn`t make many spelling mistakes in my post - my girl decided to wake up at 5:45 am today... she already regrets it being tired and all ;)

Have a happy Monday and thank you for visiting my little place!

Hugs,
Vanessa

Santa

Happy Friday! I hope all my US-friends had a great Thanksgiving and enjoyed their time with their families! I am back with another card for the Caardvarks Challenge, playing with my new Hero Arts stamps:

Paper piecing is fun fun, I am over another paperpieced project already! Ok, off to stop my little girl from spinning around and around and around - a sixteen month-old is not so stable on her feet yet ;)

Have a fabulous day!

Hugs,
Vanessa

Vanessa

Simplicity - A Tuesday Trigger on Monday

Hi Hi! I hope you had a fabulous weekend! I spent mine in a small local Craft Shop on Saturday and crafted some cards with little kids, on Sunday we visited my parents. Today I made a quick card for Moxie Fab World`s Tuesday Trigger - it couldn`t get any simpler... Sometimes that`s ok for me! The Trigger:

The card:

Making a quick card is a bit irritating for me, I always think I didn`t give my best or might have done it better! I bet my next card will have lots of layers again ;)

Have a happy Monday and thanks for visiting today!

Hugs,
Vanessa

Once I cut into the papers, it couldn`t stop using them! Here is another christmas card using Webster`s Pages:

Some asked me where I purchased them - I was lucky enough to get two 6x6 paperpads from my favourite German onlineshop! Loved this paper ever since I first saw it featured on the Moxie Fab World!

Thank you for visiting today and have a great Thursday!

One last plum-crazy card

Here is my last plum card for the Moxie Fab World "Plum Crazy" Challenge. There are already about 160 entries!!! I hope Cath is not going to comment every single one - that`s crazy! Hehe, everyone is plum crazy! For this card I wanted to combine plum with vibrant colors - pink and orange. I think that this color combo is a trend for home decoration... Sorry, the photo is not really catching it:

I inked the cardstock directly with my distress ink pads "dusty concord" and "spiced marmalade".

Have a happy Monday!!!

Hugs,
Vanessa

Caardvarks circle card #2 , struggles and a dream comes true

Happy happy Friday! I made another circle card for the "Circle of Friends" Challenge over at Caardvarks:

For the little tree I die-cut a scallopped square from cardstock and cut out the triangle. All edges are inked with distress inks. I struggled with that ribbon for a while and it`s still not like I wanted it to be - next time I`ll use my beloved Papertrey ribbon again! I am used to ribbon that`s not arguing with me... Now to something else...

I have to tell you this - I just can`t keep it for myself... I am happy, happy, happy , because I received an email that the Paper Crafts mag accepted 5 of my projects to be published in the May/June issue! I can`t believe it!! It`s a dream come true! My first publication ever! I`ll celebrate this in April with a blog candy. And in the meantime I`ll give away a blog candy when I reached a certain number of followers or hits... I want to share my happiness with you! It means so much to me to read your sweet comments and I am thankful for all that!

Sorry about the long post, I wasn`t planning to "talk" so much!

Have a fabulous day!

Hugs,
Vanessa

Vintage birds - and there is glitter, I promise!

Happy Thursday! I made this card for the Hero Arts "glitter" Challenge this week. I am not the "heavy glitterer" but I love some subtle bling...

I hope you can see the mica when enlarging the photo, I used Rock Candy distress stickles on the flowers, the ornament, the birds and the edges of the card! I got a bit carried away with my sewing machine, but it doesn`t look that bad now that all the embellishments are on :) I really have to make a lightbox soon, the gloomy light is not great for taking photos of my cards - and I think the light won`t improve over winter...

Have a wonderful day and thank you for stopping by today!

Hugs,
Vanessa

Circle card #1 - Caardvarks

I needed a card for the first birthday of a little boy and thought it would be fun to make a circle card for Caardvarks! Love circle cards, so this won`t be my only entry for the challenge! But enough of the cute baby cards for a while :)

I bend my clear stamp to stamp it around the circle - love that clear stamps are this flexible! The train is coloured with copics - you can see I am not good at this! I stamped it onto white cardstock, coloured it and cut out every wagon to pop dot it onto the card.

Have a lovely Tuesday and thanks for visiting today!

Hugs,
Vanessa

No Tuesday Trigger - but some more plum!

I tried hard to be triggered by this Tuesday Trigger, but it just did not happen! I finished a card, but hated it. I don`t like the fact that I actually miss a fabulous Moxie Fab World challenge, but that`s how it is ;) Gggrr, I wanted to create a wonderful card to honour Cath`s Blogiversary... Ok, but I have another card for the "Plum Crazy" challenge, using the beautiful "In Bloom" stamps:

There`s still time to participate, this challenge is fun fun fun and there are soo many amazing entries already - check it out here!

Have a great Monday and thank you for visiting today!

Babycard #3 (boy version) and another award

Here is the Boy Version of my Card Patterns card:

It was easier to do a boy version than I`d thought. The cute Hero Arts stamp set is easy to work with! Supplies for the card are at the bottom of this post...

I received another blog award from fabulous Susan!

It's for people who bring smiles into your life! I have to share 5 things about myself and pass it on to 5 others people who make me smile! Another 5 things about boring me... I`ll try my best:

1. I hate using hand cream... my fingers hurt at the moment because my knuckles are dry and sore from the weather, but I can`t stand the feeling of having this cream on my hands - don`t want to touch anything with creamy hands!

2. I like to cook and bake and I have to say I am quite good at this (very arrogant, I know...)

3. I don`t want to cry in front of others - I try to hide it or work hard to not start crying at all

4. I don`t like elevators - I prefer stairs!

5. My Dad is Italian, but I don`t speak Italian and I am sad about that... I do understand a lot though, because I learned some Latin and French at school

This time I`ll pass the award to : Kelley, Dawn, Jessica, DottyJo, Alice. Don`t feel obliged to post about this award, I know it is time consuming to make this, but you make me smile! There are sooo many dear friends that make me smile, too but a lot of them got this award already or got the previous awards, so please don`t think you don`t make me smile!

Have a great Sunday and thank you for stopping by! I appreciate all your sweet words!

Vanessa
