More lace for Caardvarks

I am back with another card for the "Lacy Days" Challenge! I had so much fun coloring this flower using one of the first techniques I learned - masking. It's my first cardmaking-stamping-joiningchallenges-anniversary today and on my first card I used this technique :) But it was a coincidence that I happened to use it today...

I hope I'll be able to catch up with you all soon! Don't forget to enter my give-away!

Thanks for visiting and have a great day!

Hugs,
Vanessa

Lacy Days - Caardvarks Challenge

Happy Friday! Time for another amazing Caardvarks Challenge! With the chance to become a Guest Designer for JustRite!
Ever since I was a child I loved the look of pencils on dark paper, so I decided to try this on a card:

This Hero Arts Cling set is one of my favorites and I am in love with this color combo! I was inspired by the Pink Paislee Queen Bee Collection. My sweetest friend Kelley got me new Pink Paislee for my birthday! Can't believe she did that, I wanted the Queen Bee Collection ever since I first saw it! Love ya, dear friend!!

Have a fab Friday and thanks for visiting!

Hugs,
Vanessa

More Spring

Hi everybody! Thank you for your sweet Birthday wishes! March is a month with many birthdays and April, too! Yesterday was my husband's, next is our nephew and then my Dad....
But now to a card! I had this beautiful stamp sitting in my desk for a while without inking it up and it screamed spring! So I did some coloring on Kraft for the Hero Arts Spring Challenge:

I first tried another technique, but it didn't work! I read somewhere that it works to color the stamp with copics and then mist it with the copics blending solution. So I sat there and colored my tree with various colors which took me quite a while! I then misted it with the blender and stamped. No good. Splotchy. And I feared I ruined my stamp. But I got rid of the color with more blender. No harm done. Has anyone else tried this? It sounded very promising to me... Maybe I just did something wrong!

Next week will be my Day on the Hero Arts blog!! I am so excited and hope you'll like my projects!

Have a fabulous day and thanks for visiting!

Hugs,
Vanessa

Spring Table Decoration

Happy Weekend! Yesterday happened to be my birthday and my family visited in the afternoon for some cake and coffee. I am so looking forward to spring and decided to bring a bit of it onto my table:

I love this Hero Arts stamp set and wanted to create something, so I made these place cards...

I know, a bit like a children's birthday, but I am not very mature so I guess it's ok :)
And I wanted the cute little frog to hop out of the flowers, too so I created these flower sticks:

For these I just took a rectangle of patterned paper, stamped the image onto the right half, put adhesive onto the back of the paper, placed the stick behind the image and folded the rectangle. Then I cut out the frog. Easy.

I hope you have a fabulous weekend! Thank you for visiting and for all your sweet comments!

Hugs,
Vanessa

Easter Carrot

Happy Sunday! Ok, rainy Sunday here, but I am in mood for spring! When I saw Jane's FREE carrot image, I immediately had the idea to create an Easter Card for the Hero Arts March Challenge! Be sure to visit Jane here, she designs for Squigglefly and makes the cutest digital stamps! And get your carrot :)

It's a very small card that can be used as a tag for an Easter Gift. I am in love with the cute little bunny from this set! The sentiment is spelled with this set.

Ok, that's it for today!
Have a fabulous weekend and thanks for visiting!

Hugs,
Vanessa

A Tuesday Trigger Inspired Springcard

Happy Monday! First a big thank you for all your sweet tips on little ones! I had fun reading them! Spending time with my little girl is the most important thing for me and she is used to that! That's the big problem when her Mum has to do some cleaning instead of playing with her! My crafting time is when she is sleeping, the only problems are some household tasks. But enough of that! I made a card last night, inspired by Moxie Fab World's super Tuesday Trigger:

Here is the Trigger photo, I so love this! Every element is inspiring, I would love to make 10 cards! My card was inspired by the second left photo of the first row:

I'll enter this to the Moxie Fab World Olympics of Stamping and the Hero Arts March Challenge "Spring and Easter", too. The flower is cut from the Hero Arts Cling Stamp "Poppy Background". This stamp is so versatile! And I can`t get enough of flowers!

Hope you have a sunny day! Thanks for visiting!

Hugs,
Vanessa

Caardvarks - Photo Inspiration Challenge

Happy Friday! Today started a new Caardvarks Challenge and I was inspired immediately! First, my card:

And here is the beautiful image for the "Photo Inspiration Challenge":

Gorgeous, isn`t it? I will make some more cards for sure, it`s so inspiring and the prize for this challenge is adorable! I used the birdcage from the Hero Arts Digi Kit "And Your Bird Can Sing". Love it!
Now a question for all the amazing Mums out there! My sweet friend (you know that I mean you, girl!) and I wondered how all the fabulous designers having a lot of children get their things done? I only have one little girl and she is not very cooperative - you`ll see what I mean here:

Cute and helpful, vacuumcleaning with Mommy. But obviously cleaning one room has to be enough, because five minutes later...

Really, nothing happened between the two photos. She only decided she wants to play with me or wants to be carried. Any helpful tips? I admire every woman with two or more kids!

Have a fabulous day and thanks for visiting!

Hugs,
Vanessa

Happy Tuesday! I am back with more cards for the Dragonfly Card Drive. Once I decided on the design and colored/cut out the dragonflies, these cards were made quickly. I just had fun using different stamps to create backgrounds:

This time I added perfect pearls to the wings of the dragonfly to make them shiny. I have some more colored dragonflies and hope to make more cards in time. Take a minute to read about the card drive here, maybe you`ll find time to make some cards, too!

Have a wonderful day and thank you for visiting!

Moxie Fab World - Fun With Floss

Happy Monday! Yay, we are fully recovered! Thanks again for your sweet words! I hope you had a great weekend! I am back with another card for the Moxie Fab World "Fun With Floss" Challenge:

I thought it would be nice to embellish this beautiful Hero Arts stamp with some floss to enhance its folkloric look. The image is paperpieced (I love my Xerox Stickermaker!). Floss adds lovely texture to projects, I will have to use it more often!

Oh and has anyone seen my hit-counter?? It`s gone - any suggestions what might have happened?

Have a fab day and thank you for visiting!

Vanessa
