I am still here!

Happy Friday! Can`t believe how time flies! I am trying to get some things done at the moment. Some cleaning and sorting. We have so many construction zones at home and everything stands still all the time. Don`t like this! We are planning to renovate the attic to have more room, but nothing happens. Still problems with the offers from the craftspeople, not yet sure about the windows and stairs and stuff like this. We already started to clean out/sort out some things we stored in the attic, but now stuff is lying around everywhere. Like in the bedroom. Not very comfortable! But can`t do without creating, so here are two cards to share. The first one is for Jennifer McGuire`s Card Drive for Kids, combining Unity Stamps/Hero Arts Stamps and Cosmo Cricket paper:

Still trying to make more cards for the Kids, I want to send them in one package, because the shipping costs are the same for a certain size. Ok, and here is a Baby card I made for a magazine call, using some October Afternoon Paper:

So sorry that I am not visiting your blogs as often as I usually do - I hope to not miss too much of your wonderful creations and exciting news! I am planning a blogcandy and already have some stuff I want to give away - how about some Nesties? Stay tuned, I`ll be back with it, soon! And I wanted to ask my US and Canadian readers if you were interested in a CSN Stores give-away? I got an offer to do this on my blog, not sure if that`s reliable, I don`t know CSN Stores in Germany. Would be great if you let me know about that!
Have a wonderful Friday dear friends!

Hugs,
Vanessa

Another Inside Out Card

Happy Saturday! I had so much fun creating this card finished Inside and Outside! I had the idea of using Papertrey`s Stamp sets "Home Made" and "On My Couch" when "Home Made" was released and now I finally realized it. Great that it fits for the Moxie Fab World Challenge! Here it is:

I cut out the door, so the receipient can get a glimpse of the inside through it:

And the cosy inside of the card:

I wanted to create a little old English cottage, so the lopsided bricks are stamped like this on purpose ;)
Ok, I`ll add supplies later and hope to catch up with your blogs, soon! It might not be before Monday, because today is my little brother`s birthday (Happy Happy Birthday Mario!!) and the rest of the weekend is saved for my family...

Have a great weekend dear friends!! And I will post a tutorial of stamping on the candle, soon - just a lot to do at the moment, but I haven`t forgotten about it!

Hugs,
Vanessa

Owlfriends Shirt for Valentine`s day

Happy Friday! Today I would like to share a shirt I stamped for my little girl. Made this last week and waited for the light to be better - but the weatherforcast predicted that the fog will stay a while so I had to try with this light. I have some more stuff to share but I wanted to wait for some sunshine... Staying optimistic that it will come back one day! This year we had 30 (!!!) minutes of sunshine already. Anyone out there who wants to send some? Anyway, here is the shirt:

Owl is a new word my daughter learned and she loves this couple from Hero Arts, so I made her this for Valentine`s day. A close-up:

I colored everything with copics (very carefully) after stamping with pigment ink. I hope it`ll last after washing it, but I remember that I read something about stamping with pigment ink on fabric! Coloring on it is difficult though. I had to cover some "bleeding" hearts over their heads, so my felt hearts were added :) If this works (washing it) I`ll start doing this more often! There are so many adorable stamps that should be proudly presented on clothing. And I had to try this because my brother`s girlfriend wants to stamp some Babyclothes for her pregnant friend with me. Enough of chatting - it`s rare naptime and I have to create something :) Top Secret. Just kidding. No.

Have a fab day!

Hugs,
Vanessa

Papertrey Ink January GSS Submission - Love is in the air

Happy Tuesday! Sorry that I am a bad blogger at the moment! But today I have to share some stuff I submitted to the Papertrey Ink January Guest Star Stamper Challenge. First a Valentine card:

And this is a wedding card I created for my brother`s girlfriend. Her best friend married in India and she asked me to make a card:

And finally a Valentine treat bag, using the "Around Town Tote" Template and the "Be my Valentine" Template:

Love Love Love. Now I have this song in my head :) Did you place a big order at PTI this month? I finally ordered the cute "Tea for Two" set - loved it from the first time I saw it. And I always drink tea! One coffee in the morning, but then tea. Yumm yumm. And I ordered the "Life" set. Beautiful.

Have a wonderful day and thank you for visiting!

Hugs,
Vanessa

More Friends - Inside Out

Happy Thursday! Got me some new October Afternoon paper and Hero Arts stamps and had so much fun playing and making this card! It`s another entry for the Hero Arts "Friendship and Valentine`s" Challenge and for the Moxie Fab World "Start To Finish" Challenge. I do not create cards that are finished inside out very often - but it`s really fun to do it! Cath is showing super inspiring cards, try it yourself and enter the challenge! Here are my sheep friends:

Wanted to try something different with the sentiment and the grass is from the Hero Arts "Be Happy" set, colored with Copics and cut out:

Here is the inside - I cut the sentiment stamp for my purpose:

Hope you like my little card. I have to admit that I do! Reminds me of our holidays in Scotland, where sheep were standing next to the street or on the street everywhere. Not scared of cars, but as soon as you got out of the car they ran!

I was so thrilled to see my owl friends card as featured layout of the day over at 2Peas! Cool!

Thanks for looking and have a great day!

Hugs,
Vanessa

Friendship and Valentine`s

Happy Wednesday! I hate to be away for so long - but here I am! Yesterday some of my ordered Hero Arts stamps finally arrived and I had to play! Hero Arts changed their challenges a bit and I love it! The challenge runs a month now and January`s theme is Friendship and Valentine`s. So this card is for you, my sweet blogworld friends. Even reading and commenting long boring posts :) You make me smile every day!
Fell in love with this cute little owl couple as soon as I saw it:

Here are the cuties in a close-up:

The image is colored with copics, and guess what? I am addicted to copics now! I thought I could stay away from them. No. Another reason to spend money. Ha. And there is a shop holding them (every single color) 5 min from here. Not good. Oh, don`t have the right color for a project - why not jump into the car and quickly get it!? Fortunately for my account we are still having 8" snow and my car is covered with snow and ice.

I hope you are all having a funny, sunny day! Thank you for visiting :)

Hugs,
Vanessa

Kreativ Blogger Award - long and boring ;)

Happy Sunday! I received an award from three of my sweet blogworld friends: Anita, Sanne and Sally. Thank you so much ladies!

There are rules attached to this one again. They are as follows:

1. Copy the award to your blog.

2. Link to the person who gave you the award.

3. Identify 7 interesting facts about yourself.

4. Choose seven other bloggers to pass this award on to.

5. Link to their blogs.

6. Leave them a comment to let them know about this award

So it is another award where I have to tell you 7 interesting facts about me! I really had to think about that for a while, there are no interesting facts about me and I already told you about a dozen not too boring facts... But here we go:

1. I did a lot of sports in my life. I started with gymnastics, then ballet, track and field (did that one for years and went to athletic contests every weekend), basketball (loved that one best, but got ligament ruptures two times and my Dad suggested it would be better to stop it) and as a grown up I practiced Traditional Shaolin Kung Fu (until I got pregnant)

2. I have curls. Lots of curls. I always loved them but always wanted to know how it feels like to have straight hair. Two years ago my coiffeur straightened my hair for the first time in my life - what a feeling!! Since then I do straighten them for special occasions - and realized that I only have photos of me with straight hair now, because I only get photos taken of me on special occasions :)

3. I love reading children`s books. Some of my favourites are: Anne of Green Gables, The Secret Garden, Matilda, The Big Friendly Giant

4. I am not able to keep anything in order. My crafting space is a mess. My documents are a mess. My wardrobe is a mess. My first intention every new year is getting better at it. It`s not working. I guess I have to live by Einstein`s rule...

5. I am afraid of the dentist. Although I never really had caries (or only a tiny bit) I am always afraid when I have to go to check.

6. When I was about 9 years old I startet getting spots all over my face and my back. When I was 13 years old braces were added to that. I was ugly and it really shaped me. Fortunately the braces were gone a year later and the spots were gone when I started taking the pill.

7. A fact I share with most of my crafting friends - I am a hoarder of supplies! Paper, stamps, flowers, buttons - have I mentioned paper??? I will have a give-away soon to not feel too bad about that fact!

If you made it through this post - thank you for your patience! If you weren`t given this award yet, feel free to grab it! Soo many of you already got it, so I wouldn`t know who to choose!

I have a card to share, but the light isn`t good enough to take a photo. I might be back later!
Thanks for visiting!

Hugs,
Vanessa

Jennifer McGuire butterflies

When I saw Jennifer McGuire`s amazing butterflies on her blog I had to start making some immediately! I want to send these in for the card drive she is hosting. Isn`t she an angel? Here are my cards - a great way to practice with my copics:

I printed the butterflies from the Hero Arts digi kits "Flutterbies" and "Winged Friends" in different sizes onto a sheet of cardstock and started coloring. So fun! I hope to be able to make some more cards - Winter is having a card drive, too and I`d love to support this, too...

Have a happy Monday and thank you for visiting!

Hugs,
Vanessa
