Guest Designer for Practicing Creativity

Happy Wednesday! I am honored to be Guest Designer for Courtney from Practicing Creativity this month! Two new, fabulous stamp sets will be available on December, 3rd and you'll love them! First is an additions set to the famous Look Up! set featuring cute hot air balloons. I used it in a different way for my first card:

This happened accidentially - I was playing around with the set and had the cut-out balloons lying there and suddenly they looked like birthday balloons to me. Happy little accidents :)

To see more samples with the Look Up! Additions, visit Courtney's blog here! And be sure to come back tomorrow for more of this release!

Thanks for visiting and have a beautiful day!

Hugs,
Vanessa x

Papertrey November Blog Hop Challenge

Happy Thursday, friends! It's time for another

and I am glad to be joining in! You'll find the list of all the blogs on Nichole's blog here. The November Blog Hop Challenge is to create holiday tags. Here is mine:

I only own one christmas set so far, so the possibilities were a bit limited and I had to be creative :) The sentiment is from the Tree Trimming Trio set and the flourish from the Embellishments set. I wanted the tag to be "useful", not simply a piece of paper to write a name on and decided to create an embellishment that can be used again and again. This felt poinsettia is a brooch:

To create it, I used the larger leaf from the Delightful Dahlia dies. Easy!

Happy Hopping and thanks for visiting!

Hugs,
Vanessa

Supplies:
Cardstock: Papertrey Ink
Patterned Paper: (Father Christmas) Pink Paislee
Stamps: (Embellishments, Tree Trimming Trio) Papertrey Ink
Ink: Tsukineko, Ranger Industries
Ribbon: (red grosgrain) Papertrey Ink
Dies: (leaf from Delightful Dahlia set) Papertrey Ink, (Large Label) Spellbinders
Other: Red + Green Felt, Pearls

Sweet little gift bag

Happy Tuesday! Here is a little gift bag I made using the so so beautiful Sweetness Collection from Pink Paislee:

Oh, and I made a video about the double bow. I tried to make the tutorial with photos, but no chance - I would need about 5 hands! It will be a silent video, I didn't say a thing :) I am sure it would sound ridiculous! But you'll have to wait a bit before I am able to post it, I need my husband's help to make it work here.

They predicted the first snow here! Brrr. Don't need that yet! I hope you are all well and able to stay warm! Thanks for visiting!

Hugs,
Vanessa

Christmas Ornament Card

Happy Sunday! Just quickly sharing a card before placing myself in front of the TV! Here it is:

I had some fun with the Father Christmas Collection Minipaperpad from Pink Paislee. Love my Pink Paislee!!! This little ornament can be removed and then used as a Christmas Tree ornament. I really like this Santa image, he reminds me of Albus Dumbledore :)

Ok, off to relax! I hope you are all having a fabulous Sunday! Thanks for visiting sweet friends!

Vanessa

Christmas Tags

Happy Friday! Thanks for your sweet comments about my little woot woot post. I didn't make it to the Design Team, but I was so honored about being one of the finalists already :)
Now to some little tags! I made these for the Hero Arts Challenge "Gift Tags and Handmade Gifts" :

These are hybrid, using the new sweet Hero Arts digi-kit "Feathered Friends". I printed the bird onto different papers and paper-pieced it. The edges of the labels are inked with white ink. I like the effect of this on Kraft:

And a close-up of a bird:

A green Butterfly?

Happy Thursday! I tell you, what a week! So many things happening here - positive and negative. Crafting related very positive :) But I can't tell you about that yet.
Ok, like the title already told you, today's post is about a green butterfly. I really wondered if it would look too strange, but I think I like a green butterfly. What do you think?

This is a card I'll enter to this month's Hero Arts challenge including inking techniques. I slightly inked a piece of patterned paper, stamped the background with Versamark and heat embossed it with clear embossing powder. Then I inked it again with darker colors. Yes, the emboss resist technique - one of my very favorites! The butterfly is stamped onto patterned paper and colored with colored pencils. Green green green. Too much?

Today is St. Martin's Day here. And this evening there will be St. Martin's Singing where the children are walking with lanterns behind a man on a horse. It will be the first time for my little girl and she already practiced the song a lot. Please keep your fingers crossed that it'll stop raining, she would be so sad if it was cancelled!

Have a beautiful day and thanks for visiting!

Hugs,
Vanessa

Tiffany Doodles November Challenge

Happy - well, not so happy Sunday! Not so happy for me, because it is 5.20 am and I am awake for 3 1/2 hours now after my little girl decided she doesn't want to sleep any longer. Ha, who needs more than 3 hours of sleep?? So excuse any mistakes I make in this post! Today starts a new Tiffany Doodles challenge and the theme this month is "Anything but a card". Here is my project:

I used the "Butterfly" stamp, printed it in three different sizes and colored it with copics. The bag is a simple white paper bag that I covered with patterned paper. I pierced it and hand-stitched the border with floss.

I hope you'll join us! And did you know that Tiffany is looking for new Design Team Members? Soon our Design Team term will be over and Tiffany is a wonderful person to work with! Take your chance! You'll find everything about the Design Team Call here.

Have a happy day and thanks for visiting!!

Tired Hugs,
Vanessa

Cosmo Cricket Fall Inspiration Challenge

Happy Thursday! I was very inspired by the picture I found on the Cosmo Cricket blog:

And for the chance to win the new, fabulous, amazing "Circa 1934" Collection (I so NEED it!!!) I created this card, using some "Earth Love" and "The Boyfriend" paper:

Inspired by the cream little pumpkin on the photo, I stamped one into one of the clouds from the "Remember" paper, then cut it out. Here is a close-up of my stitching:

And here is the burlap accent (inspired by the burlap lying on the bench) with the leaves and the wire curl that was inspired by the wire Welcome on the photo:

Did you know that you can punch cork??? It works:

I really had fun creating this! A last tribute to fall before winter takes over! Go check out the amazing creations the Cosmo Cricket Design Team made inspired by the photo - I especially love the unfinished wreath and the fab layout from Wendy Sue!

Thanks for visiting and have a beautiful day sweet friends!!

Vanessa

Caardvarks - Decorated Inside & Out

Happy Wednesday! Where has the last week gone?? It just slipped away! I hope you are all well! Did I miss anything? Last night I was able to make two cards for the Caardvarks Challenge "Decorated Inside & Out". It is sponsored by Penny Black and I would love to get my hands on some of their stamps! So here are my cards:

On the first one I did some paper-piecing and added a bit of Glossy Accents to the heart:

The inside holds some tea to stay warm:

My second card is a simple/elegant one:

The berries are made with some Antique Linen Distress Stickles. Here is a close-up:

And this is the inside of the card - I really hope you can see the wreaths I stamped with Versamark onto the background, so difficult to take a picture of that:

Still experimenting with the design I can mass-produce for christmas. The wreath is an option, but it takes some time to add the stickles! Ok, off to finish some chores here! :(

Have a beautiful day, I am glad you stopped by!!

Hugs,
Vanessa
