Ewe are Loved

Hi everybody! Here comes a card for the current MFT Sketch Challenge and the SSS Wednesday Challenge "Anything Goes". This is the sketch I used:

And here is my take:

I covered a card with patterned paper. Then I trimmed a panel from white cardstock and masked off a circle. I inked the bottom part with green ink and the top part with blue ink and stamped the grass. Now I removed the mask, trimmed the bottom of the panel and adhered it to the card with foam tape. I stamped, colored and fussy-cut the sheep and adhered them with foam tape. Then I stamped and heat-embossed the sentiment onto a strip of aqua cardstock and adhered it, too. I die-cut a heart from red cardstock, applied Glossy Accents to it and adhered it.

Loved this sketch! I hope you like today's card! Thanks for stopping by!

Card Patterns Sketch # 109

Happy Sunday! One day late for the next Card Patterns Sketch, but it has been chaotic here again. I am so sick of colds and flus and sickness. You know what I mean! This weekend the weather was fab - it wasn't like spring, it was like summer already! But my poor little girl hasn't been well and her ear hurt all the time, so we weren't able to enjoy this. Please keep your fingers crossed that we will have a good night and get some rest this time...

But enough of boring you with those minor problems! Here is my sample for this week's Card Patterns sketch:

We are sponsored by Catherine Pooler, Independent SU Demonstrator again. Come over and join us, I'd love to see your take on the sketch!

Thanks for visiting and have a beautiful day!

Hugs,
Vanessa

Card Patterns Sketch # 104

Happy Saturday! So, did you enjoy the Card Patterns Anniversary week? I did! I will pick a random winner from the sweet commenters soon! But now to the next sketch. Perfect for all the grid lovers out there! Here is my take on sketch # 104:

I pulled out my Basic Grey Mini Paperpad to create a happy card - can't wait for spring to come so I wanted bright colors here! And the sun seems to like those colors, too - looking at my photo! That sweet teapot, the bird and the cake are from the My Cute Stamps' "Tea Party" set.

Come over and play this week for your chance to win a fab prize from our sponsor Paper Maniac! Can't wait to see your take! (I know today's post isn't up yet, but here is the link to Card Patterns, I am sure it'll be up soon and I will have to go to bed now)

Tomorrow I'll be back with a give-away, so stay tuned! Thanks for visiting today!

Very CAS

Happy Thursday! Today I have a very CAS card for you. I love the "Ashley's Blossoms" set from My Cute Stamps:

I stamped the branch with black dye ink onto the white cardbase and colored the blossoms with a brush, using distress inks mixed with water. Just added some gems to highlight the blossoms and voilà! Sometimes it has to be simple!

Have a beautiful day and thanks for visiting!

Vanessa

For a little girl...

Happy Sunday! Today I have a card I made for a little girl who turned 2 this week. We are invited to her birthday party this afternoon - my daughter can't wait for the afternoon to come! I played around with two sets from My Cute Stamps. This is the result:

Very unusual colors for me, looking at it now I would have chosen different ones - but I started with the S I wanted to use for her name and the other colors seemed to go well with its color. Next time I'll start with pink :)

Here is a close-up:

I hope you are having a wonderful Sunday! Thanks for visiting!!

Hugs,
Vanessa

Cute Tags

Happy Friday! Are you looking forward to the weekend? We seem to get some sunshine here - yay! And I can't wait for the first photos of CHA! I hope my wishlist won't become too long :)

Here are three fun tags I made with various "My Cute Stamps" sets:

For the first one I used some flowers and the butterfly from the "Night Owl" set and the Happy Birthday from the "Birthday Numbers" set. Everything is colored with copics.

On the second one I paper-pieced the balloon from the "Birthday Numbers" set.

The third one uses the yummy cake from the "Birthday Numbers" set, the Congratulations is from "Ashley's Blossoms" and the little rose from "Tea Party".

I am into tags recently - I think it's such a nice detail on a gift!

Have a beautiful, sunny, funny day! Thanks for visiting

Vanessa

Sweet Mini Owl

Happy Thursday! Last night I had some fun making a sweet minicard. I thought it would take less time than a "normal" one, but it took just the same. I was allowed to use Alyssa's favorite bunny to create a cute set-up:

The stamps are from the adorable set "Night Owl" from My Cute Stamps. Oh, and I have a new favorite border punch! This lace punch from Martha Stewart. You'll see it very often in the future!

Any plans for New Year's Eve? We will stay at home. Hoping that the little girl will be able to sleep when everybody starts displaying their fireworks. If it was only for some minutes - but some freaks like to go on the whole night :(

Have a beautiful day everybody and thanks for visiting!

Vanessa

Winter Princess

Happy Winterday! So, yesterday I got my eagerly-awaited stamps for my term as a member of the My Cute Stamps Design Team! Oh, and I so love them! I couldn't resist making a card last night:

I created this wintery birthday card using the adorable little girl from the Tea Party set and the present from the Birthday Numbers set. Her dress is paper-pieced with some old Basic Grey Christmas Paper and to match her outfit I die-cut some tiny stars for her hair instead of coloring her flowers. This card looks so much better in real life, using perfect pearls spritzed with water and a brush to add a subtle shine to her dress, her hair and her eye-lids. Yes, she is wearing make-up :)

Keeping it short, time is precious these days! Thanks for stopping by and have a beautiful day!

Hugs,
Vanessa

CARDS November Pub and new Design Team

Happy Weekend! Today I am sharing a card that was published in the November issue of CARDS Magazine:

Everything is Papertrey Ink, except for the yellow floral paper, that's from the Artsy Urban Collection by GCD Studios.

And now to some exciting news! I am a proud new member of the My Cute Stamps Design Team:

Can't wait for my stamps to arrive to get started! I will stalk the post man :)

Have a happy Saturday everybody, stay warm in your part of the world! Thanks for stopping by!
