Happy Friday! Today I would like to share a shirt I stamped for my little girl. Made this last week and waited for the light to be better - but the weatherforcast predicted that the fog will stay a while so I had to try with this light. I have some more stuff to share but I wanted to wait for some sunshine... Staying optimistic that it will come back one day! This year we had 30 (!!!) minutes of sunshine already. Anyone out there who wants to send some? Anyway, here is the shirt:
Owl is a new word my daughter learned and she loves this couple from Hero Arts, so I made her this for Valentine`s day. A close-up:
I colored everything with copics (very carefully) after stamping with pigment ink. I hope it`ll last after washing it, but I remember that I read something about stamping with pigment ink on fabric! Coloring on it is difficult though. I had to cover some "bleeding" hearts over their heads, so my felt hearts were added :) If this works (washing it) I`ll start doing this more often! There are so many adorable stamps that should be proudly presented on clothing. And I had to try this because my brother`s girlfriend wants to stamp some Babyclothes for her pregnant friend with me. Enough of chatting - it`s rare naptime and I have to create something :) Top Secret. Just kidding. No.
Have a fab day!
Hugs,
Vanessa

Oh Vanessa, this is precious! Your little girl will adore it! Please keep us updated after you wash it. Perhaps there is something you can spray on it to protect the colors?

Oh, how cute is this. Your daughter will look fabulous in it.
Have you tried heat setting the ink with your iron and a piece of clean scrap paper?
That is so sweet, and you were able to capture the color on the owls so well, even on fabric - wow! I haven't ever tried stamping on clothing/t-shirts, afraid I'll always mess it up - but you did a wonderful stamping job here, I Love it!!
A very cute project Vanessa, sweeter than sweet!
Oh Vanessa this is so cute, I hope it washes OK, please let us know as this idea has endless possiblities. I am sure your daughter will look really cute in it.
How sweeeeeet! Maybe you should look into fabric friendly ink or try tossing this in your dryer on low to heat set. It's worth a try....Love it! Your daughter will, too!
So cute Vanessa!
So very cool, Vanessa! I just got some VersaCraft inks for fabric stamping for my webshop. You stamp and then heat set it with a heatgun - so Donna's proposal is quite relevant :-)
