Altenew's First Challenge

I just got my hands on my very first Altenew stamp set and wanted to play, so I made a card for Altenew's first ever challenge. And I'll enter it to the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge blog STAMPtember challenge. This is the lovely inspiration photo for the Altenew September Challenge:

And here is the card I made last night:

This stamp set is called Hennah Elements and I really love it! Starting with a panel of white cardstock, I applied Distress Inks with water to create the watercolor wash. After it was dry, I stamped the leaves and swirls. Then I trimmed a doily and adhered it to the bottom left corner. I stamped the flower and the leaves onto cardstock, trimmed them and applied some drops of wet Distress Ink onto them, then I adhered the pieces to the card with foam tape. The sentiment was heat-embossed with white embossing powder onto black cardstock. To finish the card, I adhered black sequins. I hope you like it!
Thanks for visiting today!
