A Very Colorful Card

Hi everybody! I am back with a very colorful card. Two of my favorite companies, Simon Says Stamp and Lawn Fawn teamed up for their first Flickr Co-Challenge and I just had to make a card.

I received a pub incentive from Lawn Fawn today and had to ink it up immediately:

I started with a piece of kraft cardstock that I folded into a cardbase. Then I die-cut the Simon Says Stamp Full Card Sunshine Craft Die from the front of the card. I trimmed a piece of watercolor paper to fit the front and inked it using a rainbow palette of Distress Inks and an ink blending tool. Now I applied droplets of iridescent watercolor medium and water. After it was dried, I adhered it behind the die-cut space. I stamped the Lawn Fawn unicorn from critters ever after onto cardstock and colored it with Copics. Then I cut it out, adhered it with foam tape and applied Wink of Stella all over it. Now I inked a piece of black cardstock with Versamark ink and embossed it with black glitter embossing powder. From this panel, I die-cut the SSS Happy Birthday and adhered it to the card. Finally I added some iridescent sequins.
Here is a close-up of the unicorn, it is so pretty and shimmery in real life, but so difficult to see in the picture:

Thanks for stopping by today!

Vanessa

supplies:
