MFT & Friends September Release

Hello to you and welcome to the MFT & Friends September 2020 Release blog hop! I am glad you are visiting today! Please be sure to stop by the MFT Blog to find all the details on how to win a $100 shopping spree, to find special offers and for the list of all the wonderful Designers joining this blog hop.

I love to be part of this event and let me tell you, I have been enjoying playing with the amazing new sets, so you'll get to see plenty of cards today (sorry, not sorry!). I hope you are in the mood for Christmas :) It's a very photo-heavy post, let's better get started!

First up is a slimline card featuring the fun Joyous Holidays stamps set and the Stacked Merry Die-namics. I trimmed a panel of cardstock slightly smaller than my card base and inked the background with Festive Berries and Black Soot Distress Oxide Inks. The images and the "Merry" are colored with Copics. I die-cut the Stacked Merry a second time from black cardstock to create a shadow. For the snow drifts, I used the Outside the Box Snow Drifts Die-namics. The "Christmas" is part of a sentiment of the stamps set, I stamped and heat-embossed the whole sentiment and trimmed out the word I wanted to use.

Up next is the cute Christmas Cardinals set paired with Sending Christmas Joy Die-namics:

For this card, I inked a panel of white cardstock with Weathered Wood and Black Soot Distress Oxide Inks, stamped the little branches, matted the panel with red cardstock and adhered it. Now I die-cut the JOY from silver glitter paper and black paper, assembled the pieces and adhered the word. The images are colored with Copics again and the card was finished off with red pearls.

And here comes a card using the Loads of Joy set:

This background is inked with Chipped Sapphire, Black Soot and Tumbled Glass Distress Oxides. I added snow fall with a white gel pen. The images are colored with Copics, the sentiment is heat-embossed with white embossing powder.

Now we come to my favorite of this wonderful release! The Outside the Box Die-namics! For the first box, I used the BB Present Time set:

The cardstock pieces are inked with Peacock Feathers Distress Oxide Ink. I decided to raise the background panel to have more of it there. It won't fit into a standard sized envelope now, but I'll make one to fit with my envelope punch board. The images are once again colored with Copics and the snow was added with a white gel pen. The sentiment is heat-embossed.

I wanted to create another box that is not Winter/Christmas themed to showcase the Outside the Box Grass Die-namics and Micro Cloud Edges Stencil, so here is a birthday box card:

The Micro Cloud background is inked with Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide Ink, for the grass I used Shabby Shutters. I used images from SY Hooray Kind of Day and SY Sending Sweet Celebration Wishes. This box is the standard size, so it fits the envelope:

I love that there is so much space for all the images:

Yay, you made it! I would have been able to go on and on creating more cards with this release! It's such fun! Now, don't forget to stop by the MFT Blog, and for your chance to win a $100 shopping spree, leave a comment on this post. The new release is available here, so happy shopping, happy hopping and good luck for the give-away!

I'll be back tomorrow with a new card for the Wednesday Sketch Challenge, I hope to see you then!
