Guest Designer for Two Peas in a Bucket

Hello again for my second post today! As the titel already told you, I had the huge honor to be a guest designer over at Two Peas in a Bucket! I tell you, I almost fell off my chair when I got an email from Jamie Sorenson! She asked me to make a card for the class

In this free class, you'll learn everything about how to use the principles of design on your projects. You can find this class here. I made three cards trying to show the principles of Proportion and Scale. Here they are:

The first one is hybrid, using a butterfly from the Hero Arts digi kit Flutterbies. I layered three different sized butterflies over the digi kit Friendship Definition, printed them and cut them out. The paper is from the My Mind's Eye Collection Lost & Found 2 Sunshine. Here is a closer look at the butterfly:

Next is another hybrid card:

Here I printed the butterfly in the uncolored version and colored it with Copics and colored pencils. The hydrangea is stamped and heat-embossed and then colored with glimmer mist (blossom) and Copics (leaves). The paper is MME again, this time Lost & Found 2 Breeze.

And here is the last card:

One of my favorite little Hero Arts birds, paper-pieced and adhered with glue-dots. The seam-binding is hand-dyed with glimmer mist. And the paper is MME again. Here it is Lost & Found 2 Blush.

Now, I hope you like my cards! Check them out here to find out more about what I thought when I made them. And go here for the Design School. You'll find amazing projects from people who really know what they do!

Thanks for visiting and have a beautiful day!

Hugs and Love,
Vanessa
