Hello everybody! Long time no see! I am back from a fun trip to London. Just love this city so much! It was my second time there and I really enjoyed it. And gladly our girl loved it, too! Especially because we accidentally saw THE QUEEN on our first day! We walked towards St. Jame's Park to see Buckingham Palace from outside, but the streets around the park were blocked and Bobbies were standing everywhere. I asked one of them what it was all about and he told me that it was because of the state visit of the president of Columbia. We were able to cross the street after a while and went towards Buckingham Palace. And there we watched a wonderful parade of horse artillery, marching bands and beautifully adorned carriages, with the first one carrying the Queen, the second one her husband and the third one Charles and Camilla. What a surprise!
But I am here to share a card with you, so sorry for the delay! I made this one for two challenges.
I thought the cute hedgehog would look good on a cupcake to match the sentiment I wanted to use. I made this card to say thanks to my daughter for always being so sweet. She loves hedgehogs and cupcakes, so this was the perfect match! I first stamped the hedgie onto my panel of cardstock, then masked it and stamped the cupcake. After I had masked that, too, I applied yellow ink with an ink blending tool and added tiny droplets of yellow and gold ink. Then I removed the masks and colored the images with Copics. I stamped the sentiment with Versamark ink and heat-embossed it with gold glitter embossing powder. Now I die-cut the flag and the heart, drew a little pole for it and adhered it to the panel. Finally, I mounted the panel to my yellow card base.
I made this for the MFT Spread Your Thankfulness Challenge and the SSS Wednesday Challenge.
Thanks for stopping by!
