Butterfly Card

Hello! Today I have a pretty Penny Black butterfly card to share. I wanted to create a last card before stepping down from the Simplicity Sisters Design Team. Here is what I made:

I started with a panel of white cardstock and stamped/heat-embossed the butterfly with white embossing powder. Then I applied various pink Distress Inks with an ink blending tool and added tiny droplets of ink from a brush. After it was dried, I cut around the bottom part of the butterfly and adhered this to a berry colored panel of cardstock with foam tape. I stamped and heat-embossed the sentiment and adhered everything to the white card base. Finally I added clear droplets and sequins for a bit of sparkle.

Because it perfectly fits, I'll enter my card to the current Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge A Bit of Sparkle.

I hope you like my last Penny Black card! Thanks for everything!

Vanessa

I love it! What a lovely card. Thank you for explaining what you had done. At first, I thought that the bottom portion was inked.
