Hello! Today I am sharing some cards from Northridge Media publications. Here we go:

Hallo! Heute zeige ich ein paar Karten, die bei Northridge Media veröffentlicht wurden. Los gehts:

The first two cards are from the CARDS January 2012 issue. That chipboard mug on the first card is taken from a Maya Road mini album. The cute squirrels on the other one are Unity stamps.

Paper Crafts September/October 2011 + Fall Décor

Happy Weekend! Today I have a published card and a non-published home décor to share. Let's start with the card. I got the Paper Crafts September/October 2011 issue this week and I love it! Especially the circus themed feature! Wow, there are REALLY talented girls out there. So clever! You need this issue! Get your copy here!
I didn't have anything circus themed, but two Halloween projects and a canvas tag. This card is one of my published projects:

Yummy Pink Paislee! I love their canvas borders! That sentiment is Unity. Another look:

That amazing issue is featuring Fall Home Décor and I really love what they picked! Especially my sweet Kelley's projects! I made a piece for the call, but it wasn't accepted, so I thought I'd share it here:

The swirls are heat-embossed with clear embossing powder. Paper is Pink Paislee and Crate.

Ok, and now a friendly reminder to support the Blogs 4 Boobies auction! Please go here to read everything about it and consider bidding for my card. I am sure that some goodies from my stash will find their way into the mail for the winner accidentially, too :) Thank you!

Have a beautiful weekend (oh, summer returned here btw!) and thanks for visiting!

Hugs and Love,
Vanessa

Cosmo Cricket Fall Inspiration Challenge

Happy Thursday! I was very inspired by the picture I found on the Cosmo Cricket blog:

And for the chance to win the new, fabulous, amazing "Circa 1934" Collection (I so NEED it!!!) I created this card, using some "Earth Love" and "The Boyfriend" paper:

Inspired by the cream little pumpkin on the photo, I stamped one into one of the clouds from the "Remember" paper, then cut it out. Here is a close-up of my stitching:

And here is the burlap accent (inspired by the burlap lying on the bench) with the leaves and the wire curl that was inspired by the wire Welcome on the photo:

Did you know that you can punch cork??? It works:

I really had fun creating this! A last tribute to fall before winter takes over! Go check out the amazing creations the Cosmo Cricket Design Team made inspired by the photo - I especially love the unfinished wreath and the fab layout from Wendy Sue!

Thanks for visiting and have a beautiful day sweet friends!!

Hugs,
Vanessa

Caardvarks - Decorated Inside & Out

Happy Wednesday! Where has the last week gone?? It just slipped away! I hope you are all well! Did I miss anything? Last night I was able to make two cards for the Caardvarks Challenge "Decorated Inside & Out". It is sponsored by Penny Black and I would love to get my hands on some of their stamps! So here are my cards:

On the first one I did some paper-piecing and added a bit of Glossy Accents to the heart:

The inside holds some tea to stay warm:

My second card is a simple/elegant one:

The berries are made with some Antique Linen Distress Stickles. Here is a close-up:

And this is the inside of the card - I really hope you can see the wreaths I stamped with Versamark onto the background, so difficult to take a picture of that:

Still experimenting with the design I can mass-produce for christmas. The wreath is an option, but it takes some time to add the stickles! Ok, off to finish some chores here! :(

Have a beautiful day, I am glad you stopped by!!

Hugs,
Vanessa

CARDS September Publications

Happy Sunday! I almost forgot to share my cards that were published in the CARDS September Issue. Here they are:

On the first one I used the cute tree from Unity's February KOM "...nothing but blue skies", some Tattered Angels chipboard letters and Making Memories Mini Alphas. Oh, and some autumnal felt for a bit of coziness. Did you know you get a free set of your choice and 25 $ for a publication using Unity? So generous and sweet of Angela! You'll find everything about it over at Splitcoaststampers.

On the second card I used October Afternoon stickers and Making Memories Tiny Alphas. The pencil is movable. No great photos here, I forgot to take better ones and the cards aren't back yet!

Ok, I hope you are all having a great Sunday! We are enjoying some sunshine, although it is very very cold in the nights. Thanks for visiting!

Hugs,
Vanessa

Go-To Sketch # 28

Happy Monday! Thank you so much for your sweet comments on my Jumping-For-Joy-PC-Cover-Post! I am glad I put a smile on your faces :)
Today I am back with a card I made for my husband's nephew who turned two. I needed a starting point, so I used Kim Kesti's Go-To Sketch #28 from the Moxie Fab World Challenge "Get Sketchy":

The "bubble" is handdrawn and "Jonas" is written by my husband who tried to imitade the font of the sentiment. The banner is from the Vinnie Pearce digi kit "Toy Box"

The little whale is from this cute Unity stamp set. I colored it with pencils and added Glossy Accents, but I wasn't able to capture its glossiness on the photo. The waves were created following Lisa Spangler's instructions from this video.

We visited our nephew yesterday and it was so cute to see my little girl with him! They hugged each other and stood there cheek to cheek! My heart was melting - but do you think we were able to take a photo? No. Three cameras, no photo...

I hope you have a fabulous Monday! Thanks for visiting, my friends!

Hugs,
Vanessa

Paperpiecing Fun!

Happy Thursday! Here today is called "Green Thursday", is it like that in your part of the world, too? We'll eat something green today (we always do, because we are Vegetarians, but especially today). I'll make small Calzoni filled with Spinach and Ricotta later. Yumm. Ok, now to my card! I love this cute image from Unity's March Kit of the month and had some fun paperpiecing it (including some very fussy cutting):

I'll enter it to the Moxie Fab World "Picking Up The Pieces" Challenge and hope I'll be able to make some more cards. It's another favorite technique of mine...

Hope you are having sunshine today - send some our way, it's raining all the time :(

There is still time to enter my giveaway, just scroll down! Thanks for visiting and have a happy day!

Hugs,
Vanessa

I am still here!

Happy Friday! Can`t believe how time flies! I am trying to get some things done at the moment. Some cleaning and sorting. We have so many construction zones at home and everything stands still all the time. Don`t like this! We are planning to renovate the attic to have more room, but nothing happens. Still problems with the offers from the craftspeople, not yet sure about the windows and stairs and stuff like this. We already started to clean out/sort out some things we stored in the attic, but now stuff is lying around everywhere. Like in the bedroom. Not very comfortable! But can`t do without creating, so here are two cards to share. The first one is for Jennifer McGuire`s Card Drive for Kids, combining Unity Stamps/Hero Arts Stamps and Cosmo Cricket paper:

Still trying to make more cards for the Kids, I want to send them in one package, because the shipping costs are the same for a certain size. Ok, and here is a Baby card I made for a magazine call, using some October Afternoon Paper:

So sorry that I am not visiting your blogs as often as I usually do - I hope to not miss too much of your wonderful creations and exciting news! I am planning a blogcandy and already have some stuff I want to give away - how about some Nesties? Stay tuned, I`ll be back with it, soon! And I wanted to ask my US and Canadian readers if you were interested in a CSN Stores give-away? I got an offer to do this on my blog, not sure if that`s reliable, I don`t know CSN Stores in Germany. Would be great if you let me know about that!
Have a wonderful Friday dear friends!

Hugs,
Vanessa
