Hi! I am still in the process of de-hoarding my beloved patterned paper stash. Last night I approached the Simple Stories drawer and quickly made this mini book:


Hi! Ich befinde mich immer noch im Enthortungs Prozess meines geliebten Designpapier Haufens. Letzte Nacht bin ich meine Simple Stories Schublade angegangen und habe schnell dieses Minibuch gemacht:

It was really simple. The inner pages are made from one sheet of patterned paper (although this doesn't help to de-hoard very quickly...). I just trimmed the already perfectly printed sheet into three strips and scored them in the middle. Then I trimmed a strip from another sheet for the cover, scored it and sewed the pieces together at the scores. Using some stickers and journaling cards, I embellished this and I was done. Simple Stories makes it simple. 


Das war wirklich sehr einfach. Die inneren Seiten habe ich aus einem einzigen Bogen Designpapier gemacht (obwohl das ja nicht gerade beim schnellen Enthorden hilft...). Ich habe einfach das bereits perfekt bedruckte Papier in drei Streifen geschnitten und in der Mitte gefaltet. Dann habe ich einen Streifen aus einem anderen Bogen für den Umschlag zurechtgeschnitten, in der Mitte gefaltet und alle Stücke am Falz zusammengenäht. Mit ein paar Stickern und Karten habe ich es dann noch verziert und alles was erledigt. Simple Stories macht es einfach.

Hello! Today I am sharing some cards from Northridge Media publications. Here we go:

The first two cards are from the CARDS January 2012 issue. That chipboard mug on the first card is taken from a Maya Road mini album. The cute squirrels on the other one are Unity stamps.


Die ersten beiden Karten sind aus der CARDS Januar 2012 Ausgabe. Dieser Graupappebecher auf der ersten Karte ist aus einem Maya Road Minialbum herausgenommen. Die putzigen Eichhörnchen auf der anderen Karte sind Stempel von Unity.

Happy Spring

Hello! Ok, it might be a bit too early, but I can't await spring! I saw that the daffodil buds are peeking now that our snow is almost melted away and it made me longing for spring even more. So here is a card to make spring come faster:

I debossed the mat stack frame, then stamped it and cut the slit for the slider.


Ich habe den Mat Stack Rahmen geprägt, dann gestempelt und anschliessend den Schlitz für den Gleiter ausgeschnitten.

You can't see it well, but the background and the butterfly are softly stamped with Background Basics Textstyle. And the background is debossed using the Parisian Doily die. Jessica Witty had this fab idea.


Man kann es nicht gut sehen, aber der Hintergrund und der Schmetterling sind soft mit Background Basics Textstyle gestempelt. Und der Hintergrund ist mit dem Parisian Doily Die geprägt. Jessica Witty hatte diese geniale Idee.

I needed a card for a little girl that turned 3 and these colors are so happy and bright. 


Ich brauchte eine Karte für ein kleines Mädchen, das 3 geworden ist und diese Farben sind so fröhlich und bunt.

Valentine's Day Lollipop Bouquet

Hello! I have another idea for Valentine's Day to share. I saw some sweet lollipop flowers on Pinterest and made my own version using Crate's Paper Heart collection again:


Hallo! Ich hab noch eine Valentinstags Idee die ich zeigen möchte. Ich hatte einige niedliche Lollipop Blumen auf Pinterest gesehen und dann meine eigene Version mit Crates Paper Heart Kollektion gemacht:

I painted the little flowerpot with acrylic paint, added some patterned paper and embellishments and tied on the twine. To stick the flowers into the pot, I inserted half a styrofoam ball and covered it with sisal. And the flowers are just die-cut from the pretty paper. My little girl just found out about lollipops, so she will be delighted to see this bouquet :)


Ich habe den kleinen Blumentopf mit Acrylfarbe angemalt, gemustertes Papier und ein paar Verzierungen angebracht und das Garn herumgebunden. Um die Blumen in den Topf stecken zu können, habe ich eine Styropor Halbkugel in den Topf gelegt und diese mit Sisal umwickelt. Und die Blumen sind einfach aus dem hübschen Papier ausgestanzt. Meine Kleine hat Lollis grade entdeckt und wird sehr erfreut sein, diesen Strauss zu sehen :)

Mir ist grade aufgefallen, dass ich hier gar nix gestempelt habe. Aber es hat sehr viel Spass gemacht, den Quatrefoil Die zum herstellen einer Maske zu benutzen. Danke fürs besuchen und Gute Nacht!
