Winnie & Walter February Release Day 3

Hey everybody! Here comes Day 3 of the Winnie & Walter February Release Premieres. Today we are showing projects using these sets:
Kindness with Evelin T Designs, True Multifaceted Circle Cutaways, True Multifaceted Heart Cutaways.

For the first card, I trimmed a piece of patterned paper to fit my card base and stamped the sentiment. Then I heat-embossed the "kindness" with rainbow glitter embossing powder and adhered the panel to the card. Now I die-cut the solid heart from patterned paper and adhered it with foam tape. I stamped the cute bird onto white cardstock, colored it with Copics, cut it out and adhered it to the card. Then I added rainbow colored sequins.

And here comes a second card:

For this card, I trimmed a piece of white cardstock slightly smaller than a pink card base. Then I stamped the cactus and colored it with Copics. Now I stamped the black sentiment and the colorful word using the MISTI and adhered the panel to the card.

Again, you will find more projects using the new sets on the Winnie & Walter blog. And for your chance to win the new sets, you can leave your comment there! All the new products will be available for purchase on February 26, 2016, 10:00 p.m. CST.

I'll be back tomorrow with the last of my projects from this release. Thanks for stopping by!

Winnie & Walter A Week To Die For Day 4

Welcome back to the last day of the Winnie & Walter feature "a week to die for"! Today we will show you projects using Goldie Trim Cutaways + Lulu Fringe Cutaways. Here is my first project:

Inspired by flowers I saw on Pinterest, I created these felt flowers using Lulu Fringe Cutaway. It is so much fun to create them! I just die-cut Lulu Fringe from felt, then folded it into half lengthwise and rolled it up. I used Glossy Accents along the edges and it worked perfectly. I adhered the finished flowers to my little gift bag, together with leaves I had die-cut from black cardstock. Then I die-cut the word "congrats" from gold foiled cardstock and adhered it, too. Finally I added some sequins.

Here comes another bag using Lulu Fringe, a non-girly one:

This time, I used crepe paper to die-cut my fringe. It works best on thin paper or flexible material to create perfect loops.
I really hope you liked all the inspiration this week! I definitely enjoyed creating with these dies!
Now check out the Winnie & Walter blog for more projects to inspire you. Thank you so much for stopping by!

Papertrey Ink 8th Anniversary Challenge Day 7

I am back with a card for the PTI Anniversary Challenge on day 7. It requires to only use neutrals with metallics. Here is my entry:

No stamping on this card! I die-cut one of the butterflies from Beautiful Butterflies from a panel of patterned paper to create a window for a shaker card. The window is filled with sequins, micro beads and die-cut little hearts from gold foiled cardstock. I assembled the card and die-cut the word "forever" from gold foiled cardstock to adhere it above the window. Then I added some die-cut hearts and an enamel dot to finish the card off.
Thanks for stopping by today!

winnie & walter October Release Day 1

Welcome to the biggest winnie & walter release yet! Oh, you will love this wonderful release! You better grab something to drink and keep you comfy, there will be lot's of eyecandy from everybody :)
Let's get started with today's projects. We are premiering two stamp sets and the new, amazing stencils called Creative Screenings. Here comes the first card:

Here I used Scenery: Classic Diagonal Creative Screenings for the background. I adhered the mask with tape and applied Festive Berries Distress Ink with my ink blending tool. Then I stamped the sentiment from Eat Drink Gingerbread Man on a piece of black card stock and heat-embossed it with white embossing powder. To achieve the chalkboard look, I rubbed white pigment ink onto the piece and traced the words with a white pencil.
The next card uses the same stamp set for a completely different look:

I stamped and heat-embossed the sentiment again, this time on vellum. The gingerbread man is heat-embossed onto patterned paper, then I cut him out and inked the edges for a more "baked" look.
And another card with this set:

This time, I used Mini Scenery: The Peppermint Swirl with Eat Drink Gingerbread Man. First, I stamped and masked the glass of milk, then I stamped and masked the gingerbread man. Now I inked the Peppermint swirl using Spun Sugar Distress Ink on the inner part and Picked Raspberry Distress Ink on the outer part of the swirl, spritzed it with water and stamped over the images. After removing my masks, I colored the images with Copic markers. The sentiment is from A Tree for All Seasons.

How do you like the first glimpse at the new products? And there is so much more! So, for today, check out the winnie & walter blog for more samples and links to the other designers' blogs. And don't forget to enter the BIG Giveaway! I'll be back tomorrow with the next set of cards, I hope to see you! Thanks for visiting!

Happy Little Penguins

I recently saw fun illustrations with happy little penguins on Pinterest and this inspired me to create a cute card for the Mama Elephant and me October Challenge.

I hope traveling by balloon counts, because I'd like to enter it to the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge "Transport It", too.

Here is my card:

I stamped the little fellas from Love Quotes onto a light blue cardstock panel and onto pp and paper-pieced them. After I had colored them with Copics, I drew some strings with a thin black marker. The balloons are from Pandamonium, the sentiment is from Up and Away. I hope you like it!

A Paper-Pieced Cupcake

I made this card with a paper-pieced cupcake for the Mama Elephant and Me September challenge a while ago and almost forgot to share it. So here it is

It is difficult to see on the photo, but every layer is paper-pieced. For the top, I used watercolor paper, stamped the top thrice, inked every layer with a different color of Distress Ink, fussy-cut them and assembled them. The bottom part is a mix of two different stamps, the wrapper is stamped on pp and cut-out and the bow is from another bottom stamp, inked and then cut-out to be added to the pp one. I hope that is not too confusing! The cupcake parts are from Carnival Cupcakes and the sentiment is from  Type It. Have a great day everybody and thanks for visiting!

winnie & walter August Release Tour of the Stars

Welcome to the winnie & walter August Release Tour of the Stars!! For this release, everything is a bit different, because this release is different! You will love the new sets. The are so big! Every set is 6 x 8.  And they are very versatile and full of lovely elements. On tonight's tour, you'll be able to win prizes, so be sure to leave comments on the blogs! But now, let's get started. I am showing you one card for each stamp set today, but I made a lot more and will show them another day.

For my first card, I used Moonlight and the matching cutting files. I placed the face onto the pumpkin
before cutting it from white card stock. Then I used an Ink Blending Tool and Distress Inks to color it. Afterwards, I adhered black card stock behind the face before placing it onto my patterned paper. Don't you love the font of the haunting in the sentiment? This stamp set has so many great elements and the cutting files are great, too!

My second card uses A Tree for All Seasons. It's so versatile! Here I created my own patterned paper with a single leaf stamp. On the cluster, I used the coordinating cutting file to cut some leaves. The sentiment is from the same set, I just trimmed it after I had stamped it to tuck it in behind my burlap button.

On the last card, made with This Awesome House, I did a lot of paper-piecing. I found this brick patterned paper in my Maggie Holmes paper pad and thought it would make a perfect brick house. After paper-piecing everything, I colored the windows, the door and the roof with copics. Then I stamped the little cat and added a little red bow to the door.

Ok, a wonderful release, don't you think? I can't wait to see what all the other girls did with it. I am the last stop of the tour. Here comes the full list of designers:

Happy hopping, good luck and thanks for stopping by!

Premiere of Scenery: V for cheVron

Welcome to the last day of winnie & walter premieres with the premiere of Scenery: V for cheVron! Yes, this is another gorgeous, versatile set! I made two cards with it:

For the first card, I used the huge solid chevron stamp. Love that it covers a whole card front! The speech bubble and the sentiment are from the previously released Bubble Talk set. On the next card, I used the small chevron row:

I like to combine patterned paper with stamps to create a completely new look. The sentiment is from The Big, the Bold, and the Happy.
I hope you like my cards! Be sure to check out what the other girls did with this set on the winnie & walter blog today. And don't forget to enter the big give-away, too!
All stamps will be available tomorrow! Have fun shopping!

Premiere of The Big, the Bold and Seasons

Today is the winnie & walter premiere of The Big, the Bold and Seasons. Yes, another addition to the Big, Bold series! You'll love this one, too! Here are my cards:

Mmh, beautiful autumn. I am enjoying summer too much to miss autumn right now, but I love creating projects for that season nevertheless! Here I used pp from Crate Paper's Close Knit collection to combine with the beautiful stamps from the new set. And I don't miss winter at all! (that'll never happen) But I made a winter card, too:

The set comes with these cute snowflakes and matching small stamps for all seasons, so it's easy to create a card with just this set. I hope you like what you saw today! Now it's time to hop to the winnie & walter blog and check out the projects of the rest of the Design Team and guests. And leave a comment for your chance to win this beautiful set! Premiere of The Big, the Bold and Blessings

Yay, it time for a new winnie & walter release! Welcome to the premiere of The Big, the Bold and Blessings! I am sure you will love the new stamps. Let's take a look at the first set:

For my cards, I used the big welcome from the set. I love to play with the bold words like I did on the first card. It makes fun and easy backgrounds. The word baby is from The Big, the Bold, and the Happy and the word girl from The Big, the Bold and Extras. That cute owl sticker is from Echo Park Paper.

On the second card, I just had to use a cute chipboard house from Crate Paper with the "welcome home" combination from the new set. You'll love the word combinations that are possible with the set. Check out the winnie & walter blog for more samples and your chance to win big! I'll be back tomorrow with the next premiere, my favorite this month!

DIY Designer Paper

The new AEI♥U Challenge is to make DIY Designer Paper. I played around with my stamps and Distress Inks for my card:

I used the hello from my Modern Leaves set and inked it up with two different Distress Inks, then spritzed it with water and stamped onto watercolor paper. This was repeated on the whole panel. Then I trimmed my DIY Designer Paper and used it on this card. The butterfly was colored with the same Distress Inks and dipped into gold embossing powder. Still some of my DIY pp left, maybe I'll make another card with it! Thanks for visiting!

Cute Bunny

Oh, I love the cute bunny from the new Lawn Fawn set Hello Baby! That whole set is adorable! And I couldn't believe it, but it was available here in Germany on the release day! Had to get it immediately. And make a card with it - with a bit of distressing to enter it to the Lawnscaping Challenge #82:

I didn't want to over-distress for a baby card, so I just inked the edges:

The bunny is colored with watercolor pencils. I just had to dress her up with that bow from the Beep Boop Birthday set. To ink the edges of the pp panel, I used grey Distress Ink and a mini ink blending tool. I will have to ink up the stamps of this set again, soon!

Create Your Own Background

The new Lawnscaping Challenge requires to create your own background and I love this idea.

Here is the card I made:

Here in Germany, you usually receive your driver's license when you turn 18, so this is always a big deal. The cute car from the Happy Trails set fits perfectly for this occasion!

Two Layouts

I am sharing two layouts today. The first one is a grid layout using the Webster's Pages/Adrienne Looman Our Travels collection:

Heute zeige ich zwei Layouts. Das erste ist ein Rasterfeld Layout, das ich mit der Webster's Pages/Adrienne Looman Our Travels Serie gemacht habe:

These are some photos from our trip to a wildlife park last year. So fun and full of new adventures for my girl. I started with those square cards from a piece of pp from that collection and just printed the photos the same size. Easy and great to get a lot of photos onto a layout.
The next layout has been sitting here for a while. I made it last month with the Crate Styleboard collection, but I just couldn't manage to get a great photo of it. Now I gave up. Here it is:

I was inspired by Wilna's video, using watercolors with rub-ons. The gold rub-ons of the collection are so pretty!
Ok, that's it for today. Thank you so much for stopping by!

Mini in the Making

Hello! It is quite busy around here, so it took a while to post again. The weather is perfect and the garden requires some action. Last weekend, I worked out with the spade and made a bigger veggie patch. Too little time for everything! But I started a mini using the beautiful Crate/Maggie Holmes Styleboard line and wanted to share the cover today:

Hallo!

The inner pages will follow soon! Have a fab day everybody and thanks for visiting!
