Baby Card

Happy weekend everyone! I am back with a baby card I made this week. My boss is a new proud father of a little son so I needed a card.

Here is what I came up with:

I trimmed a panel of patterned paper from Pink Fresh Studio slightly smaller than my card base (the card is about 15x15 cm to have enough space for all my colleagues to sign it) and adhered it to the card. Now I die-cut the letters from fun foam and blue cardstock and adhered them. I stamped the cute images onto white cardstock, colored them with Copics and die-cut them with the matching dies. After I had adhered them with foam tape, I added the stars and the heart.

Unicorn Birthday Card

Hi everybody! I made a cute unicorn birthday card for the current Simon Says Wednesday Challenge: Happy Birthday. 

I've been wanting to use the Avery Elle unicorn for such a long time and now it finally made it's way onto a card:

I started with a panel of white cardstock and masked off a rectangle. Then I applied Distress Inks with an ink blending tool and flicked water from a brush onto the ink. After it was dried, I stamped the stars and the tiny dots. I removed the masks and adhered the panel to the card. Now I stamped and heat-embossed the sentiment onto a strip of black cardstock, trimmed it and adhered it to the card. 

I stamped the unicorn and the stars, colored everything with Copics and die-cut the images with the matching dies. After I had adhered them, I added matching sequins to finish the card off.

For a Guy

Hi everybody! Today I have a card for a guy to share. I wanted to make a birthday card for a dear colleague and used my new Avery Elle stamp set for this. I'll enter this card to this week's SSS Wednesday Challenge Father's Day/For a Guy.

First, I applied blue watercolor onto a panel of watercolor paper to create my background and adhered it to a Kraft card base. Now I stamped and heat-embossed the sentiment onto a strip of black cardstock, trimmed it and adhered it. I stamped the image onto cardstock, colored it with Copics and die-cut it with the matching die before adhering it with foam tape. I couldn't help but add some hair to his chest with a black marker. I believe a guy looking like this would have hair on his chest :)

One Card for Two Challenges

Hi everyone! Today I have a fun card for two challenges. I enjoyed playing with new stamps, using various techniques.

First, I created my background. I started with a panel of white cardstock and, using a stencil, applied ink with an ink blending tool. To soften the colors, I adhered a panel of vellum over the inked panel. Now I stamped and heat-embossed the sentiment using silver embossing powder and adhered the panel to a silver card base. Then I stamped and colored the girl and the ice-cream, die-cut them with the matching dies and adhered them with foam tape. Finally, I finished the card off with sequins.

Fun and summery, don't you think? Can't wait for the weather to get better :) And I would totally wear these roller skates...

This card was made for two Simon Says Stamp Challenges. The SSS Wednesday Challenge Come Rain or Shine and the SSS Flickr Challenge Anything Goes.

Winter Card

Hello everybody! Bitterly cold winter is back here in Germany, so I made one last winter card before it's time for spring. This one is for the AEI♥U Challenge #32 - Winter and the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge: OMBRE.

A cute snowman who is enjoying the cold :)

I stamped the snowman onto a panel of watercolor paper and masked him. Then I applied various blue inks with an ink blending tool to create the winter night. Now I stamped and heat-embossed the stars and added ink splatters of white glimmer ink. I colored the snowman with Copics and die-cut the pinked rectangle from the panel. Then I die-cut another rectangle from fun foam and layered everything onto the card base. Finally I adhered little sequins.

Yay! I wish I was as happy about the snow as this cute little guy :) At least he is making me smile!

Watercolor Balloons

Hey everyone! I really love balloons and can't get enough of them. Today's one-layer card showcases a lot of them, colored with watercolors. I'll enter it to the Lawnscaping Challenge #100 Birthday Celebration: 

Here it is:

I made a card base from watercolor paper and stamped the balloons from Lawn Fawn's "admit one", doing a lot of masking. Then I stamped the strings (some are from the same set and some from "hello sunshine"). Now I used Distress Inks mixed with water to color the images. Finally I stamped the sentiment.

A Last One

Here is a last entry to this week's Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge "all creatures great and small" because this cute bear was waiting for his appearance:

I started with a panel of cardstock that I die-cut using the Lawn Fawn "stitched rectangles" dies. Then I stamped the hill, the sentiment and the trees. After I applied some Antique Linen Distress Ink mixed with water to the hill, I matted the panel with blue cardstock and adhered it to the card. Now I stamped the bear onto cardstock, colored him with Copics and cut him out. Finally I adhered him with foam tape.

Paper Piecing

I have a card for two challenges! First, the AEI♥U Challenge #20 Paper Piecing and second, the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge Anything Goes.

I like to "dress" the cute AE images with pp:

I paper-pieced the clothes from Goldie from Red & Goldie using patterned paper and colored her body with Copics. Then I die-cut her with her matching die. Onto my white cardstock panel, I stamped grass from More Stories and balloons from Storybook and colored them with Copics, too. After stamping the sentiment, I adhered my panel to an orange cardbase. Finally I adhered Goldie with foam tape. I hope you like it!

Seeing Stars

Hey everybody! I am quickly popping in to post a card for the current Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge "We're Seeing Stars".

First, I created a watercolor background on watercolor paper. I applied water with a brush and then added Distress Inks to paint the grass and the sky. After it was dried, I stamped the sentiment and the star and adhered the panel to a light blue cardbase. I stamped the goose and the stars onto cardstock, colored them with Copics and die-cut them with the matching dies. Finally I adhered the images to the card, using foam tape to pop some up.

A Cute Polar Bear

I made another holiday card with my Avery Elle stamps. This time with a cute polar bear. Or better, I turned the little bear from Red & Goldie into a polar bear. This card is another entry to the AEI♥U Challenge #18.

This time, I created a mask for my background, using the large rectangle die from Pinked Elle-ments. I inked the negative space softly with light blue Distress Ink for a polar look. The snowflakes are from Be Jolly, as well as the sentiment. The little bear was lightly colored with Copic markers, cut out and adhered with foam tape. I hope you like it!

Jolly Alice

I made a card for the current AEI♥U Challenge #18. 

Here comes jolly Alice:

To dress up Alice from "Alice and Friends", I gave her the snowman's hat from "Be Jolly". I just trimmed off a bit of the fur. To create the background, I masked a hill and applied various blue Distress Inks onto my panel. Then I used my w&w stencil to create the snow with embossing paste. I added some accents with a white gel pen and stamped the sentiment from "Be Jolly". Alice was colored with Copics and is adhered with foam tape. I hope you like her!

Paper-Piecing

I had some fun paper-piecing various images and made a card for the current AEIheartU Challenge. And the card is CAS, so I'll enter it to Virginia's View Challenge, too.

On some days, cards just don't come together easily. Today is such a day, but I am glad I didn't give up and finished it:

The cute girl is from Avery Elle's Red & Goldie set, the balloon from the Storybook set. I wanted a custom sentiment and used a Lawn Fawn alphabet set to create it. I hope you like it!

And Another Fox

And here comes another fox. Can't help it. This time I made a card for three Simon Says Stamp Challenges! First, the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge (Anything Goes), then the second Simon Says Stamp Flickr Challenge (Tic-Tac-Toe) and finally, the Work It Wednesday Challenge (color combination). This is the image for the Flickr Challenge:

I chose top left corner to bottom left corner: die cut, twine, polka dots. And here comes the Work It Wednesday color recipe:

The result is this:

Autumn

Autumn has arrived here. We woke up to frost on the fields this morning and had to scrape off the ice from the car windows. Brr. So not ready for the cold season! But I still like creating fall-inspired projects and wanted to play with the AEI♥U Challenge (sketch), combining it with the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge (Tag It!).

Clean & Simple

Hi everybody! A few days ago I made a clean & simple card for the AEI♥U Challenge #15

Here it is:

I used the lovely Storybook stamp set + dies for my card. First, I created a light sky and grass on my white cardstock panel, using Distress Inks with a lot of water. Then I stamped, colored and die-cut the mouse and adhered it with foam-tape. The same was done with the stars. After I had stamped the sentiment, I adhered my panel onto a light blue card base and it was finished. I hope you like it!

Simon Says…Summer Vacation Kid's Challenge Part 2

It's Alyssa's turn again with another card for the Simon Says Stamp Summer Vacation Kid's Challenge

She needed another birthday card for a friend's birthday and pulled out the cute pandas from Mama Elephant again:

It's the birthday of the little panda, the right panda fell in love with the little one, that's why it has the heart above its head. The butterflies, birds and the balloon are from Avery Elle. She doubled up with laughter because of her stamping boo-boo underneath the bird in the middle (haha, I wouldn't want to stand under this bird, Mama!). This time, she found my rhinestones and added some of them to finish off her card. I hope you like it!

Little Red

I couldn't resist any longer, I had to get the little Red from Avery Elle's Red & Goldie set. And I made a last minute card for the AEIHeartU Challenge, combined with the Simon Says Wednesday Challenge

Here she is with her cute fox:

I used the coordinating dies to create the negative space to stamp them in. The pinked panel is an Avery Elle die, too. Everything is colored with Distress Inks + water again. And the balloon (from Storybook) is covered with Glossy Accents. I hope you like it!

Gold

Oh, I really like using a touch of gold on my creations. So I just had to create something for the new AEI♥U Challenge:

 And of course, it'll fit the Simon Says Stamp Anything Goes Challenge:

Here is what I made:

I love the look of gold and blue. Here I created a watercolor wash on watercolor paper using spray mist. Then I added some gold spray mist ink splatters. I die-cut a frame from gold foiled cardstock and adhered it to the panel. Now I stamped the sentiment from the Modern Leaves set onto a die-cut tag, tied on some twine and added some of the gold ink splatters, then adhered the tag to the card with foam tape. For my flower, I used the solid leaf from the Modern Leaves set and stamped and heat-embossed it with gold embossing powder (twice), then I cut the leaves out and adhered them together with a Prima flower onto my card. Finally, I adhered some gold enamel dots and sequins to finish the card off. I hope you like it!

DIY Designer Paper

The new AEI♥U Challenge is to make DIY Designer Paper. I played around with my stamps and Distress Inks for my card:

I used the hello from my Modern Leaves set and inked it up with two different Distress Inks, then spritzed it with water and stamped onto watercolor paper. This was repeated on the whole panel. Then I trimmed my DIY Designer Paper and used it on this card. The butterfly was colored with the same Distress Inks and dipped into gold embossing powder. Still some of my DIY pp left, maybe I'll make another card with it! Thanks for visiting!

A Masculine Card

I made a masculine card for the current Avery Elle Challenge...

and the Simon Says Wednesday Challenge…

...using my Modern Leaves stamp set:

I heat-embossed the large scribbled leaf onto patterned paper and punched out circles from this and other pps. After I had inked all edges, I adhered them to a kraft cardstock panel. The "hello" is from the same set and also heat-embossed with white embossing powder. I inked the edges of my panel and machine-stitched some messy seams. Then I adhered the panel to my cardbase and added some ink drops. Finally I adhered the wood veneer. I hope you like it!
