Happy Mother's Day!

Happy Mother's Day to all the other mothers out there! I am just quickly sharing a card I made for my MIL:

I used the PTI Peonies on Parade stamp set and dies for this. First, I trimmed a piece of patterned paper slightly smaller than a pink card base and adhered it. Then I stamped and heat-embossed the peonies and leaves onto watercolor paper and colored them with peerless watercolors. Now I die-cut them with the matching dies and adhered everything to the card with foam tape. I finished the card off with clear droplets.

Have a wonderful Sunday everybody and thanks for visiting!

Ombre Background

Hey everybody! I am back with a card using some beloved Penny Black stamps. I created a fun ombre background with various inks and thought it would look pretty with these flowers:

Using an ink blending tool, I applied three different dye inks creating the ombre on the cardstock panel and added drops of white glimmer spray to it. After it was dried, I stamped and heat-embossed the sentiment, then I adhered the panel to my card base. Now I stamped and heat-embossed the flowers onto vellum and cut the image out. Using a vellum adhesive runner, I adhered the flowers to the card. Finally I added clear sequins.

I'll enter this to the new Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge : OMBRE.

Thank you for visiting today! I hope I'll be back to my regular blogging routine soon :)

A Last Christmas Project

Hello everyone! Here comes one last Christmas project for this year! I love using felt for the cold season (at least it once was the cold season, right now nature is confused and the flowers and trees start blooming). Here I created some poinsettia tags with non-Christmas products and felt:

These were made with normal flower dies from the RG Celebra'tions Collection. What do you think? They make some pretty good poinsettias, don't they? For some festive sparkle, I added sequins and beads.
I'll enter this to the current Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge "MAKE IT SPARKLE".

Keeping it short today, in Germany we are celebrating on Christmas Eve and I'll be busy all day long. But I wanted to take the time to wish you all a merry Christmas, a wonderful time with your loved ones and peaceful holidays. Thank you so much for visiting!

Sparkle & Shine Challenge #20

Hello everybody! I am here with my card for the Sparkle & Shine Challenge #20 sponsored by Winnie & Walter. This photo has so many fun elements to be inspired by:

I wanted to make a Christmas card using the classic green and red and loved the cute polka dot pattern on the deer. This is the result:

I can't get enough of these elves! Here I changed the elf with the bulb and gave him one of the stockings instead. The elf is colored with Copics and the stocking is paper-pieced.

I hope you'll join us for this challenge!

I have decided that it is time to move on, so this is my last post for Sparkle & Shine. Thank you so much for having me, Angel!!

Thanks for stopping by!

Sparkle & Shine Challenge #19

Hey everyone! Here comes a second post for today.

The new Sparkle & Shine Challenge is also up today! This is the inspiration photo for this challenge:

I loved the various stars/snowflakes on the grey wall and wanted to use this on my card:

I stamped and heat-embossed the snowflakes and the sentiment onto my grey panel. It is impossible to see (and I tried all angles when taking the photo), but I first embossed with white embossing powder and afterwards with clear, sparkling embossing powder. So the snowflakes have a very realistic shimmer on them. Then I adhered the panel to the card base and finished everything off with clear sequins and the clear drops.

Please join us at Sparkle & Shine for your chance to win a gift card to Pretty Pink Posh!

Winnie & Walter Rerun: Winter Wonderland

Today, the Winnie & Walter team is inspiring you with new projects using the older set "Winter Wonderland". Oh, I so love this set! It is classic and super versatile. For today's card, I chose to combine watercolors and silver embossing:

I started with a panel of watercolor paper and stamped the large tree stamp, using Distress Inks spritzed with water. After it was dried, I stamped the deer and a sentiment from Merry & Bright with Evelin T Designs and heat-embossed them using silver embossing powder. Then I adhered my panel to a silver card base and finished the card off with sequins.

I hope you like it and that you'll join us! Please go to the Winnie & Walter blog for all the details.
Thanks for stopping by today!

Cute Penny Black Christmas

I am back with a cute Penny Black Christmas card. Christmas is coming closer too fast and I want to use all my sweet sets before it is too late :) And I would like to send out cards, so I need to speed up to get them all done! I'll enter it to the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge: Christmas again.

Love these adorable images! I first stamped the image with a very soft Distress Ink, then drew and colored over the image with the Derwent Inktense pencils. Using my watertank brush, I applied water. After everything was dried, I stamped and heat-embossed the sentiment, then adhered the panel to a red card base. The card was finished off with some clear sequins.

I hope you like it! Thanks for stopping by!

What a fun color combo! Here is my take:

I used the new Winnie & Walter Scenery: Madison Creative Screenings and inked my panel using an ink blending tool and Distress Inks. After adhering the panel to my card, I die-cut the word from black cardstock and adhered it with foam tape. Finally I added matching sequins.

Winnie & Walter Release Day IV

Welcome to the last day of the Winnie & Walter October Release Premieres! Last but not least, more gorgeous sets!!

I am in love with the new Evelin T Designs sets! Look at this cute birdie! I had to make it a Robin, they are my favorites. I used the Happiest of Holidays with Evelin T Designs set and did some watercoloring on the images. The frame was cut from cork using the new Essentials: Noelle Cutaways.

This is another card using the same set. These bird houses! So fun! Here I colored the images with Copics.

For the last one, I created a background with the Scenery: Do You See What I See? Creative Screenings. I applied my ink with an ink blending tool and heat-embossed the sentiment from Merry & Bright with Evelin T Designs. The stars were die-cut using Big Bang Confetti Cutaways.

Phew, that release is amazing, don't you think? And I wasn't even able to show you everything! So be sure to visit the Winnie & Walter Blog for more samples and for your chance to win the new products! Thank you so much for visiting!

Winnie & Walter Release Day III

It is day 3 of the Winnie & Walter October Release and I am glad you are back! Don't you love what you have seen so far? Such a great release! And it is not over! Here are my cards for today:

In Bloom: Hollie's Festive Florals is such a beautiful stamp set to create wreaths for all seasons! Here I created pretty flower corners for my sentiment.

The second card uses dies only. Don't you love that big bow? It is from the new set Take a Bow Cutaways and I combined it with In Bloom: Paulina's Greenery Cutaways and sequins.

This little scene was created with Our Town. I stamped the houses and trees using various blues (and my MISTI) and added glitter to sugar them.

The last card was made with Let it Snow. I stamped and heat-embossed everything with white embossing powder and sparkled everything up with sequins and rhinestones.

Now be sure to visit the Winnie & Walter blog for your chance to win all the sets! Everything will be available for purchase on the evening of October 30, 2015. Thanks for stopping by and I'll be back tomorrow with my last cards from the release!

Winnie & Walter October Release Day II

Welcome to day 2 of the huge Winnie & Walter October Release! I have some more cards to share with you and hope you like them! Here they are:

This card was made with the new set Comfort + Joy. The set looks very rustic at first, but I saw those cute bells and knew I wanted to make a colorful, happy card with it. So I used the two bell stamps and created a happy rainbow with them. After I had done the stamping, I drew the strings with a black marker. The sentiment is embossed onto a strip of black card stock for some contrast. Finally I added matching sequins for a bit of shine. Here comes another colorful card:

I love this new Cover Model: The Leaf Effect Cutaway. So versatile and fun! I created a background with my ink blending tool and simply covered it with the die-cut from white card stock. Then I die-cut the In a Word: Thanks Cutaway from orange card stock and adhered to the card with foam tape and a bit of twisted string underneath. For the finishing touch, I adhered sequins. After so much color, something without any :)

The last card looks very cold after all the colors above, doesn't it? I used the new die True Multifaceted Star Cutaways to emboss the white card stock panel. Then I adhered it to a white card base and added sequins. I die-cut the In a Word: Peace Cutaway from white glitter card stock and adhered it with foam tape.

Yes, more amazing stamps and dies on day 2! And we are not finished yet! Please check out the Winnie & Walter blog for more inspiration and for your chance to win this release which will be available on the evening of October 30th!

I hope to see you back tomorrow for more cards! Thanks for visiting!

Welcome to the first day of the Winnie & Walter October Release!! I tell you, this is a huge one. And a fab one! All products will be available for purchase on Saturday, October 31st. So, let's not waste time, but let's get started with today's cards…

Here I used In Bloom: Renee's Leaves and stamped/heat-embossed some leaves onto a panel of watercolor paper. Then I colored everything with Distress Inks mixed with water. I stamped/heat-embossed the acorns onto a separate panel and colored them, too. Then I cut them out and adhered them to the panel. I die-cut the thanks from gold foiled card stock and adhered it before adhering the panel to a kraft card base. Finally I added some gold sequins.

For the second card, I used In Bloom: Elsa's Flora. I stamped the bows and berries onto a white card front and colored the berries. Then I stamped and heat-embossed the sentiment using gold embossing powder. I die-cut the frame using Essentials: Noelle Cutaways and adhered it with foam tape. Then I stamped the poinsettia onto card stock, colored it with Copics, cut it out and adhered it. To finish the card off, I adhered sequins.

Here I wanted the merry from In A Word: Merry Cutaway to pop off the card. I created my background using the tree border from Scenery: Holiday Trimmings (note: it is included in the SOA box and will be available later) and soft ink blending. Then I die-cut the merry from black card stock and adhered it with foam tape. I stamped the little christmas and adhered some black enamel dots.

On the last card for today, I played with watercolor again. I stamped the leaves from In Bloom: Anna's Flora onto a panel of watercolor paper and created a watercolor wash with Distress Inks. Then I stamped the sentiment from Happiest of Holidays with Evelin T Designs and adhered the panel to my card base. I stamped and colored the sunflower and cut it out to adhere it to the card with foam tape. Finally I adhered sequins.

Sparkle & Shine Challenge: Watercolor Dots

*second post of the day. for the winnie & walter rerun, please go here*

Hello everybody! It's time for a new Sparkle & Shine Challenge. This time we had this pretty image to work with:

So many possibilities, don't you think? I love the watercolors and here is what I came up with:

I created the stripes on a panel of watercolor paper, using a wet brush to pick up color from Derwent Inktense Pencils and simply painting a stripe of every color, creating a rainbow. Then I trimmed the panel, layered it with a strip of black card stock and adhered it to my card base. I stamped and colored the cute panda, cut it out and adhered it with foam tape. Then I die-cut the word from card stock and fun foam and adhered it, too. Finally I added matching sequins.

I hope you'll join us this time for your chance to win a gift card to Pretty Pink Posh!

Thanks for stopping by!

Fall Wreath With Penny Black

Hey everybody! I enjoyed playing with my Penny Black goodies to create this fall wreath card.

I can't get enough of leaves recently. Those little leaf dies from Penny Black are one of my faves. Here I thought it would be fun to die-cut them from different colors of card stock and adhere them to create a wreath. Some are popped up using foam tape. I hope you like it!

Thanks for stopping by today!
