Scrapbook Werkstatt Advents Blog-Hop

Hallo und herzlich Willkommen zu einem neuen Design Team Blog-Hop der Scrapbook Werkstatt! Ihr solltet von meiner lieben Sylvia hierher gehüpft sein. Ich hoffe, wir können Euch heute mit netten Weihnachtsideen verzaubern! Nur noch eine Woche und es geht so richtig los. Uiuiui. So, dann zeig ich Euch mal, was ich für heute vorbereitet habe:



Ich finde es immer toll, etwas selbst zu backen/ zu kochen und dann nett zu verpacken um es zu verschenken. Hier habe ich schnell ein paar gebrannte Mandeln in der Microwelle gezaubert und dann diese Schachtel dazugebastelt. Das Designpapier und Washi findet Ihr im Scrapbook Werkstatt Dezember Kit. Und ganz besonders möchte ich Eure Aufmerksamkeit auf den verwendeten Stempel lenken! Mein allererster, selbstentworfener Stempel! Genau aus dem oben genannten Grund wollte ich gerne einen Stempel, mit dem man Selbstgemachtes verschenken kann. Da isser! Ach, und die Schachtel ist eine digitale Stanze von Lori Whitlock. Ich hoffe, meine Kleinigkeit gefällt Euch. Falls Ihr  Euch auch leckeren Weihnachtsmarktduft nach Hause holen wollt, noch schnell das Rezept für die Mandeln:

200g ungeschälte Mandeln

1 TL Zimt

4 EL brauner Zucker

4 EL Wasser

Alle Zutaten in eine Microwellenschüssel füllen, verrühren und 2 Minuten bei ca. 650 W erhitzen. Dann schön rühren und das Ganze nochmal wiederholen. Man kann aufhören, wenn man sie einfach karamellisiert will und sie dann auf einem Stück Backpapier auskühlen lassen, oder so lange fortfahren, bis sie so aussehen wie meine (wenn sie also trocken werden). Ganz wie man es am liebsten hat. Gutes Gelingen!

You are a Scream

Boo! From christmas projects to summer memories to Halloween. Sigh, the paper crafting world is so confusing! But I enjoy it. It never gets boring. So today is about some spooky Halloween projects. Oh, how I love this holiday and it is such a pity that it is not really being celebrated here in Germany. When I was little, we had families of US soldiers in our neighborhood and were surprised when they knocked on our doors on Halloween for the very first time. But after we had learned about it, we were always prepared for that day with enough sweets. Ever since, I have been hoping that this holiday would become more popular here, but it still isn't as much as I wish. 

Buuh! Von Weihnachtsprojekten zu Sommererinnerungen zu Halloween. Seufz, die Papierbastlerwelt ist so verwirrend! Aber mir gefällts. Es wird nie langweilig. Also geht es heute um gruselige Halloween Projekte. Oh, ich mag dieses Fest und es ist so schade, dass es in Deutschland nicht so richtig gefeiert wird. Als ich klein war, hatten wir Familien von US Soldaten in unserer Nachbarschaft und waren sehr überrascht, als sie das erste Mal an Halloween bei uns an die Tür klopften. Aber als wir dann Bescheid wussten, waren wir auf diesen Tag immer vorbereitet mit genug Süssigkeiten. Seitdem hatte ich immer gehofft, dass dieses Fest bei uns populärer werden würde, aber es ist leider noch nicht so wie ich es mir wünschen würde.

Yummy potion, isn't it? I used the Authentique Enchanted collection for my apothecary jar and the coffin. And the coffin is a digi die from Lori Whitlock. So is the spider. For a creepy content of the jar, I brewed some black tea and put it into the jar with some soy pieces. My husband had the idea to try gum worms, I am sure that would be nice, too. On the outside of the jar, I applied some alcohol ink and let it run down the glass a bit to make it look uglier. The Enchanted collection is available here at Scrapbook Werkstatt. You'll love it! Lecker Zaubertrank, nicht wahr? Ich habe die Authentique Enchanted Linie für mein Apothekerglas und den Sarg verwendet. Und der Sarg ist eine digitale Stanze von Lori Whitlock. Die Spinne auch. Um den Inhalt des Glases möglichst gruselig zu machen, habe ich schwarzen Tee mit einigen Sojabrocken eingefüllt. Mein Mann hat noch Gummiwürmer vorgeschlagen, ich bin mir sicher das wäre auch nett. Auf der Aussenseite des Glases habe ich ein etwas Alkoholtinte herunterlaufen lassen um das Glas ein wenig ekliger zu machen. Die Enchanted Kollektion bekommt Ihr hier bei der Scrapbook Werkstatt. First Christmas Project of the Year

So, today I am sharing a christmas project. I am not really in the mood for that yet. But I wanted to make something with the Teresa Collins Christmas Cottage collection:

A very simple little album using a digital cutting file from Lori Whitlock. It doesn't allow a lot of embellishments on the inside, so the photos need to shine :)

Happy Sunday! No sun here, but still hoping for it to come out. I have a little project to share:

Hello! Today I can finally share that I made it on a Design Team! I am delighted to announce that I am part of the Scrapbook Werkstatt Dreamteam 2012/2012. So, let's start with a project I made using the new Weltenbummler (globetrotter) collection designed by Stephanie Berger:


Hallo! Heute kann ich endlich sagen, dass ich es in ein Design Team geschafft habe! Ich bin entzückt bekannt geben zu können, dass ich nun Mitglied im Scrapbook Werkstatt Dreamteam 2012/2013 bin. This is a mini to document this year's vacation. For the cover, I used cardstock, thick cork and a journaling card from the collection. Those stamps are from the collection, too. To bind the book, I used the Crop-A-Dile.


Dies ist ein kleines Album um den Urlaub dieses Jahr zu dokumentieren. Für die Vorderseite habe ich kräftiges Papier, dicken Kork und ein Journaling Tag aus der Linie verwendet. Diese Stempel sind ebenfalls von der Kollektion. Um das Album zu binden, habe ich den Crop-A-Dile benutzt.

Mother's Day Box

Hi! I am back to share a box I made for my Mama for Mother's Day. I thought I'd quickly share it in case anyone needs an idea for tomorrow. This is a box I made to hold some yummy pralinés:


Hi! Ich bin wieder da um eine Box zu zeigen, die ich für meine Mama zum Muttertag gemacht habe. Ich dachte ich zeige sie schnell, falls noch jemand eine Idee für morgen sucht. Diese Box habe ich gemacht, um darin ein paar leckere Pralinen zu schenken:

The base is a plain brown box that I painted with white acrylic paint. Then I used pretty paper from Pink Paislee's London Market collection and covered the box. The edges are inked with distress ink. That branch is a digital die-cut from Lori Whitlock, the flowers and pearls are from Prima Marketing.


Die Basis ist eine einfache braune Box, die ich mit weisser Acrylfarbe angemalt habe. Dann habe ich hübsches Papier aus der London Market Kollektion von Pink Paislee verwendet, um die Box zu überziehen. Die Kanten sind mit Distress Ink gefärbt. Der Ast ist eine digitale Stanze von Lori Whitlock, die Blumen und Perlen sind von Prima Marketing.

Mini in a Box

Hello! This week, my Papa turned 60. One of the presents for him is this little album that uses Echo Park's Note to Self collection. I thought it is something he can put into his bag and take with him:

Diese Schachtel ist eine digitale Stanze von Lori Whitlock. Sie sieht aus wie eine Schachtel in der sich ein Kartenspiel befindet.

The album is an accordion book that I made from a sheet of patterned paper. It has two covers, one to open at the bottom to reveal high format pictures:


Das Album ist ein Akkordeonbuch, das ich aus einem Blatt Designpapier gemacht habe. Es hat zwei Covers, eines das von unten geöffnet wird, um Hochformatbilder zu enthüllen:

And a second cover on the other side to open on the side to reveal horizontal format pictures:


Und ein zweites Cover auf der anderen Seite, das seitlich geöffnet wird, um Querformatbilder zu zeigen:

I mixed photos and drawings from my little girl and didn't embellish the inside pages to leave the album flat.
