A Touch of Gold

Happy belated iNSD! I was able to whip up a quick layout with a touch of gold to celebrate this day, combining two challenges. First, the Studio Calico color challenge and second, the 2Peas Gold Color Trends challenge:

I used a mix of Dear Lizzy, Amy Tan and Maggie Holmes lines. The rub-ons are colored with Gelatos and mists. Thanks for visiting!

Winnie & Walter Share The Love Featuring: Elle's Studio

Welcome to a special winnie & walter share the love post featuring: Elle's Studio! This week, some girls of the winnie & walter DT show how to combine Elle's Studio goodies with wonderful winnie & walter stamps. I got a box full of sweet Elle's Studio products and couldn't stop creating, so this post is project-heavy :)
Let's better get started! First, a card:

Here I stamped and heat-embossed the "hello" from The Big, the Bold, and the Happy onto that cute journaling card. The "baby" is from the same set. I thought that adorable snail from You've Got Love Mail would be perfect for a baby card.
Next, two birthday cards:

The happy colors of the Everyday Moments collection work so well for birthday cards! I used that journaling circle with the stars as starting point and stamped more stars in matching colors from the Scenery: Big Bang Confetti set onto the card. The sentiment from The Big, the Bold, and the Happy was heat-embossed using white embossing powder on black cardstock.

Here I used the little envelope from You've Got Love Mail and paper-pieced it. The sentiment is from The Big, the Bold, and the Happy again.
Here comes one last card before I have some layouts to share:

This one uses The Big, the Bold and You, Parentville and Scenery: Big Bang Confetti.
Now some layouts:

On this layout, I combined wood veneer and stamps from The Big, the Bold, and the Happy to create a title.

Here I used The Write Stuff: Love Story and You've Got Love Mail. And The Big, the Bold and You.

Her very first wobbly tooth. Don't grow up so fast!! I stamped elements from The Write Stuff: Love Story and stars from Scenery: Big Bang Confetti. For this layout, I used this sketch from the Elle's Studio blog.

Two Layouts

I am sharing two layouts today. The first one is a grid layout using the Webster's Pages/Adrienne Looman Our Travels collection:

These are some photos from our trip to a wildlife park last year. So fun and full of new adventures for my girl. I started with those square cards from a piece of pp from that collection and just printed the photos the same size. Easy and great to get a lot of photos onto a layout.
The next layout has been sitting here for a while. I made it last month with the Crate Styleboard collection, but I just couldn't manage to get a great photo of it. Now I gave up. Here it is:

Das sind Fotos von einem Ausflug in den Wildtierpark letztes Jahr. Echt toll und voller neuer Abenteuer für meine Tochter. Ich habe als Startpunkt die quadratischen Kärtchen von einem der Designpapiere genommen und meine Fotos in der gleichen Grösse gedruckt. Einfach und effektiv, um viele Fotos auf einem Layout unterzubringen.
Das nächste Layout liegt hier schon eine Weile. Ich hatte es letzten Monat mit der Crate Styleboard Serie gemacht, aber ich habe einfach nicht geschafft, ein gutes Foto davon hinzubekommen. Jetzt geb ich es auf. Hier ist es:

A Week In Life

I hope you had a wonderful, sunny day! We had - it felt good to work in the garden without a coat. Today I have another layout that I made with the Dear Lizzy Daydreamer collection again:

Those are some photos of last week. Just the ordinary chaos. I am still not sure about the project life thing. Love it, but I fear I would not be able to keep up. But I think that this kind of layout is a good alternative. The elements in the Daydreamer line are so fun, I really enjoy working with it!

I am the luckiest paper crafting girl this month! I am allowed to play with the new Dear Lizzy Daydreamer collection for SBW. This is a first layout I made:

I love the quote on the balloon: Fill Your Heart With What's Important. I am working on this point. You see, I have difficulties with clearing my mind. I am the type of girl that keeps thinking and thinking everything over. A nasty person treated me unkindly and I keep thinking of it all the time. I has been on my mind for days - instead of concentrating on the happy things, this person keeps crawling into my mind when I don't want to. Sometimes I wish I had a pensieve like Dumbledore, to take my memories out of my head for a while or watch them from outside to get a better perspective. But enough of blah! Don't you love this colorful collection? Get it here! I am in love.

Ich liebe den Spruch auf dem Ballon: Erfülle Dein Herz mit Dingen die wichtig sind. Ich arbeite noch an dem Punkt. Seht Ihr, ich hab Schwierigkeiten damit, meinen Kopf freizubekommen. Ich bin die Art Mensch, die über alles immer wieder nachdenkt. Eine gemeine Person hat mich mies behandelt und ich muss ständig daran denken. Es verfolgt mich seit Tagen - statt mich auf die glücklichen Dinge zu konzentrieren, kriecht diese Person immer wieder in meinen Kopf obwohl ich das nicht will. Manchmal wünschte ich, ich hätte ein Denkarium wie Dumbledore, um meine Erinnerungen für eine Weile aus dem Kopf zu nehmen und sie mit Abstand betrachten zu können um eine bessere Sichtweise zu bekommen. Ok, aber genug Blabla! Findet Ihr diese farbenfrohe Serie nicht auch toll? Ihr bekommt sie hier! Ich bin verliebt.

Wild Things

Today I have a layout about wild things. There is a little park close to our home, where you can feed deer and wild boars, so on a sunny day we sometimes go there for a walk:

Heute hab ich ein Layout über Wilde Dinger. Es gibt in unserer Nähe ein Wildtiergehege in dem man Rehe und Wildschweine füttern kann und an manch sonnigem Tag gehen wir dort spazieren:

It didn't turn out as I was planning it. I was almost finished and just wanted to add some stamped accents. So what's the best finishing touch? Any guesses? Yes - just drop an open ink pad face down onto your almost finished layout. SO me! I had to improvise and that's why there are some strange wood circles in the bottom left corner. Sigh. Trying to recall my inner Bob Ross: No mistakes. Only happy little accidents.

Es ist nicht so geworden wie ich es geplant hatte. Ich war fast fertig und wollte nur noch ein paar gestempelte Akzente setzen. Der beste Akzent um ein Layout abzurunden? Ne Idee? Ja - einfach ein geöffnetes Stempelkissen mit Farbe nach unten auf das fast fertige Layout fallen lassen. Typisch ich! Ich musste dann improvisieren und deshalb sind die komischen Holzkreise da unten. Seufz. Immer schön an meinen inneren Bob Ross denken: Es gibt keine Fehler. Nur fröhliche kleine Unfälle.

In the Mood for a Rainbow

I felt the urge to create something colorful, I was in the mood for a rainbow. So I pulled out various supplies, mostly from my SC kits, and started a layout. Here comes the result:

So Proud

Last year, we went to a wildlife park. They have elks, ibex, wolves, lynxes etc. And on a huge meadow there was a falconer showing owls, hawks, vultures etc. A lot of people were watching in a circle around the falconer. Then he asked if there was a child who would like to help him with the barn owl. Guess who was the first child to run into the circle putting her hand up? My girl. One of the youngest kids watching. I was so surprised about her courage and almost burst with pride :)
Here comes a layout about it:

Letztes Jahr waren wir in einem Wildtierpark. Es gibt dort Elche, Wölfe, Luchse, Steinböcke und sowas. Und auf einer riesigen Wiese gabs eine Raubvogelshow. Mit vielen Zuschauern, die im Kreis um den Falkner sassen und zuschauten. Dann hat der Falkner gefragt, ob es ein Kind gäbe, das ihm mit der Schleiereule helfen wolle. Ratet mal, welches Kind das Erste war, das in den Kreis rannte und sich meldete? Meine Kleine. Eine der Jüngsten, die zuschauten. Ich war sehr überrascht von ihrem Mut und bin vor Stolz fast geplatzt :)

Happy New Year!!!

I am wishing you a very happy New Year! Most of all, wishing you and your loved ones good health! We have been down with nasty colds for two weeks now, so I know what I am talking about ;)
I hope you started your year well! I decided to not make any New Year's resolutions this time. The most important thing is to stay healthy and happy, spend as much time as possible with my loved ones and with the rest we'll deal somehow. 
But there'll be new adventures coming soon. Can't wait! One thing I will change is to scrap in another format now. I tried a rectangular layout and it felt so much better than a square one! Maybe it is because I am a card maker and more used to the rectangular shape? Feeling more comfortable with this:

Ich wünsche Euch allen ein ganz tolles, glückliches Neues Jahr! Vor allem viel Gesundheit für Euch und Eure Lieben! Da wir seit zwei Wochen mit fiesen Erkältungen zu kämpfen haben, weiss ich wovon ich spreche ;)
Ich hoffe Ihr habt Euer Jahr gut gestartet! Ich habe beschlossen, keine guten Vorsätze zu haben. Das Wichtigste ist, gesund und glücklich zu bleiben, soviel Zeit wie möglich mit den Lieben zu verbringen und mit dem Rest werden wir schon irgendwie fertig.
Aber es warten neue Abenteuer. Ich kanns gar nicht abwarten! Eine Sache, die ich ändern werde, ist das Format in dem ich scrappe. Ich habe mich an einem rechteckigen Layout versucht und es hat sich viel besser angefühlt als ein quadratisches! Vielleicht liegt es dran, dass ich soviele Karten mache und mehr an die rechteckige Form gewöhnt bin? Jedenfalls fühle ich mich hiermit wohler:

It's a layout! I've been focusing on cards recently, but today I am happy to show a layout. I am really behind scrapping the photos of our trip to Santorin. But the gorgeous new Dear Lizzy collection Polka Dot Party gave me the perfect supplies to use some of these photos:

Es ist ein Layout! Ich hatte in letzter Zeit eher Karten gemacht, aber heute freue ich mich, dass ich ein Layout zeigen kann. Ich hinke echt hinterher, die Fotos von unserem Santorin Urlaub zu scrappen. Aber die geniale neue Dear Lizzy Serie Polka Dot Party hat mich mit den perfekten Materialien versorgt, um einige Fotos davon aufs Papier zu bringen:

When we watched the beautiful sunset in Oia, our girl was infected by the romantic atmosphere and kissed us all the time. We enjoyed that very much :)

Als wir den wunderschönen Sonnenuntergang in Oia ansahen, war unsere Kleine wohl von der romantischen Atmosphäre angesteckt worden und hat uns die ganze Zeit verbusselt. Nicht dass wir was  dagegen hatten :)

I wanted to add golden details to my layout to match the golden sunset, so I covered the wood word with AC WOW! Chunky Glitter. Love how it turned out!

Ich wollte goldene Details auf meinem Layout, um dem goldenen Sonnenuntergang gerecht zu werden, also hab ich das Holzwort mit AC WOW! Chunky Glitter bedeckt. Bin ganz stolz wie das geworden ist! (Danke, liebe Alex, dass Du mich auf dem Event auf den Glitter aufmerksam gemacht hast!!!)
