Butterfly Card

Hello! Today I have a pretty Penny Black butterfly card to share. I wanted to create a last card before stepping down from the Simplicity Sisters Design Team. Here is what I made:

I started with a panel of white cardstock and stamped/heat-embossed the butterfly with white embossing powder. Then I applied various pink Distress Inks with an ink blending tool and added tiny droplets of ink from a brush. After it was dried, I cut around the bottom part of the butterfly and adhered this to a berry colored panel of cardstock with foam tape. I stamped and heat-embossed the sentiment and adhered everything to the white card base. Finally I added clear droplets and sequins for a bit of sparkle.

Because it perfectly fits, I'll enter my card to the current Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge A Bit of Sparkle.

I hope you like my last Penny Black card! Thanks for everything!

Pretty Flowers {Colored Pencils on Dark Cardstock}

Hi everyone! I wanted to color some pretty Penny Black flowers, so I decided to make a card using colored pencils on dark cardstock. Here is what I came up with:

I can't wait for my peonies in our garden! For my card, I stamped the image from the set 30-340 gentle day! with grey ink onto the grey cardstock. Then I colored the flowers with Faber Castell Polychromos. After I had adhered the panel to the card base, I stamped the sentiment from 30-300 happy notes onto a strip of white cardstock, trimmed it and adhered it with foam tape. Finally, I added clear droplets to the card.

I'll enter this card to the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge Showers and/or Flowers.

Thanks for stopping by!

Just a (cute) Note

Hi there! I played with my Penny Black stamps and made a cute card with the adorable hedgehogs. They are so much fun :)

First, I applied kraft dye ink onto a panel of white cardstock that I had trimmed a bit smaller than my gold card base. Then I stamped the script background and applied gold ink droplets. After they were dried, I adhered the panel to the card. Now I stamped the hedgehogs onto cardstock, colored them with Copics and fussy-cut them. I adhered them to the card with foam tape. To give them something to stand on, I stamped and heat-embossed the sentiment onto a strip of black cardstock, trimmed it and adhered it to the card.

I hope they make you smile like they make me :)
Thanks for stopping by!

Flowers from Penny Black

Hi everybody! I am fed up with snow and winter and -15°C! I want spring. I want flowers. I want butterflies instead of snowflakes. So I was in the mood to create cards with floral stamps. Like this one from Penny Black:

I stamped the image with Versamark ink onto a panel of watercolor paper and heat-embossed it with gold embossing powder. Now I colored the flowers and leaves with Inktense Pencils and water. After everything was dried, I fussy-cut the image and adhered it to a Kraft cardbase. I die-cut the sentiment from gold foiled cardstock and adhered it. Finally, I added gold and pink sequins.

There, flowers are so much better than snow! I hope you are staying warm in your part of the world! Thanks for stopping by!

Cute Love Mice

Hi everybody! I am back with a cute Penny Black card! These mice are adorable, I wanted to play with watercolors to create a pretty background for them.

First, I stamped the image onto watercolor paper and masked it with a Molotow Masking Pen. Then I created the background with watercolors. I removed the mask and colored the image with watercolors, too. Now I stamped and heat-embossed the "love" with silver embossing powder and adhered the panel to the card base.

Thank you so much for stopping by!

Watercolor Butterfly - Penny Black

Hi everyone! Today I have a watercolor butterfly card using Penny Black stamps with you to share. I love the butterfly trio set, the images are huge! Here comes what I made with it:

I trimmed a panel from watercolor paper that almost covers my mint card base and stamped the largest butterfly using permanent ink. Then I applied Peerless Watercolors to the image, letting the color "bleed" from the bottom part. Now I flicked droplets of ink to the bottom part with a brush, stamped the sentiment and adhered the panel to the card. Finally, I adhered clear droplets to the card.

A last greeting of summer. Although the temperatures dropped immensely here, there are still a lot of butterflies around. I hope you like my card today! Thanks for stopping by!

A Wedding Card with Penny Black

Hello everyone! Here I am with a wedding card using Penny Black stamps and dies. I like these little house dies and their accessories!

First, I masked off a circle on a panel of watercolor paper that I had trimmed slightly smaller than my card base and inked the bottom part of the circle with green ink, the top part with blue ink. After it was dried, I stamped the sentiment and heat-embossed it with silver embossing powder. Then I adhered the panel to my card base. I die-cut the church and the trees from white cardstock and colored the trees with Copics. Now I assembled the church and adhered the elements to the card. Finally, I added clear sequins.

I hope you like my CAS Wedding card! Thank you for stopping by!! I'll be away for two weeks now and I am not sure I'll have much access to the internet. Hope to see you back, soon!

Pretty Penny Black Flowers

Hi everyone! I had some fun creating a card with pretty Penny Black flowers from the set "perfect pairing".

I trimmed a panel of watercolor paper slightly smaller than a gold card base and created a green watercolor wash. After it was dried, I adhered it to the card. Now I die-cut leaves from gold glitter cardstock and arranged them on the card. I stamped, colored and fussy-cut the flowers and adhered them with foam tape. Then I finished the card off with gold sequins.

I hope you like today's card! Thank you so much for stopping by!

Cute Animals From Penny Black

Hi everybody! For today's card I used some very cute stamps from Penny Black. I kept it simple to let them shine on their own:

I wish I could dance through my garden like them, enjoying the harvest, but we have been dealing with so much rain in Germany lately, that it is very difficult to enjoy anything. I really hope that it will change soon. All my roses and peonies look so sad. But enough of complaining! For this card, I stamped the image onto a panel of watercolor paper and colored it with Peerless Watercolors. Then I adhered the panel to a kraft card base. Finally, I stamped and heat-embossed the sentiment onto a strip of black cardstock and adhered it.

Super cute and super fun to play with :) I'll enter this card to the SSS Wednesday Challenge Animal Magic. Thanks for visiting!

Ink Blending

Hey everybody! Today I have a new Penny Black card to share. I loved to create this with a die and some ink blending:

I started with a panel of white cardstock that I had trimmed slightly smaller than my card base. First, I die-cut the Medallion from a scrap of cardstock and adhered it to the panel temporarily. Now I applied various blue/aqua dye inks with an ink blending tool and added spritzes of water. After I had removed the "mask", I stamped the sentiment and adhered the panel to the card. Then I finished the card off with sequins and droplets.

A fun way to make more of your dies, don't you think? Thank you so much for stopping by today!

Watercolor Flowers

Hey everyone! I so love this time of the year, walking through the garden and watching everything coming to life. It's a very busy time full of work, but I enjoy it a lot. All those beautiful spring flowers inspired me to create a soft and pretty spring card with my Penny Black flower stamps:

I trimmed a panel of watercolor paper slightly smaller than a yellow card base. Then I stamped the flower image and heat-embossed it using white embossing powder. Now I stamped and heat-embossed the "hello" with silver embossing powder. After I had colored the image with watercolors, I adhered it to the card. Then I finished the card off with clear sequins.

So fun to play around with watercolors. I need to practice that a lot more.

Thank you for stopping by today!
