Sparkle & Shine Challenge Thirteen: Photo Inspiration sponsored by Pretty Pink Posh

We are starting a new Sparkle & Shine Challenge today and it is again sponsored by Pretty Pink Posh! This is our inspiration photo:

You don't have to create tags, you can also use tags on your project for any occasion. I used tags on my card:

I created a watercolor background and die-cut the top tag from it using the Winnie & Walter Essentials: Audrey Cutaways. Then I adhered the panel to the card. I stamped and heat-embossed the sentiment onto the tag, layered it with two tags I die-cut from vellum and adhered them to the card with foam tape. Now I stamped, colored and die-cut the birds and adhered them, too. I finished the card off with clear sequins and a piece of twine that I tied to the top tag.

Hello Baby

Hello! I had some fun creating a Hello Baby card today using Joni's Sketch on the WPlus9 blog. And it fits the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge Let's Get Sentimental...

Ok, I can't get enough of the cute elephants. Just had to make something with them again! I colored it with Copics. Here is a closer look:

Hello

Here I am with another card for the WPLUS9 Throwback Thursday Challenge and the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge:

On this card, I created my own spray ink with Distress Ink and water and used it on a woodgrain structured cardstock. Love the effect! I then die-cut the hello from cardstock and foam tape and adhered it to the card. Now I stamped and heat-embossed the peony and the leaves and colored them with Distress Inks + water. Then I cut them out and adhered them. Finally I added clear sequins.

Pear-fect

Hi everybody! I wanted to play with the WPLUS9 Throwback Thursday Challenge and the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge and made two cards. Here comes the first one:

I don't own any monogram sets, but I was inspired by Maureen's background techniques. Here I created a background with Distress Inks and Spray Inks on a watercolor panel. Then I stamped the sentiment and covered the panel with a matching piece of vellum to soften everything. I adhered the panels to my card and stamped the pears from Punny Produce: Pears onto a piece of watercolor paper, heat-embossed the image and colored it with Distress Inks mixed with water. Then I cut the image out and adhered it to the card with foam tape. Finally I added clear sequins.

Another Ellie

Today I have another ellie card to share. I wanted to practice coloring and am following Kathy's 30 Day Coloring Challenge, so I made a card with the cute Wplus9 Elephant sets for the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge "Special Lady/Girly".

I just stamped the images onto a cardstock panel and colored away. In the end I added little details with a white gel pen like Kathy likes to do. I added Wink of Stella to the balloon and Glossy Accents to the bubbles, but I wasn't able to capture it on photo. Here is a closer look:

Cute Elephant

Hey everybody! Today's card features the super cute Wplus9 elephant. I was lucky enough to get the adorable new sets before they were sold out. I'll enter this card to the Wplus9 TBT Challenge: Guiding Light. My oldest Wplus9 set is called "Ink Splats" and I combined it with the new "Bubble Talk" set. Inspired by Maureen's beautiful design, I created this card:

I thought it would be fun to have the elephant create a little piece of art with his trunk. I started using the same technique as Maureen did on her first card, masking a rectangle and inking it with various Distress Inks. Then I removed the masks and stamped the ink splats with matching ink. I stamped the "Hello" into the largest splat and adhered my panel to the cardbase. Now I stamped the elephant onto cardstock, colored it with Copics and cut it out. Then I adhered it with foam tape. Finally I added matching sequins. Here comes a closer look:

I hope you like it! I can't get enough of this cutie and will create some more cards with elephants, soon!

Autumn

Autumn has arrived here. We woke up to frost on the fields this morning and had to scrape off the ice from the car windows. Brr. So not ready for the cold season! But I still like creating fall-inspired projects and wanted to play with the AEI♥U Challenge (sketch), combining it with the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge (Tag It!).

Love this cute fox from the Red & Goldie set. All stamps I used are from this adorable set. I colored the images with Copics. The splatters on the background were made with Faber Castell Gelatos and Distress Inks mixed with water. Let me know if you have any questions! Thanks for visiting!

Cute Hedgehog

I love the cute hedgehog from Lawn Fawn's "sending hedgehugs" set and couldn't wait to play with the set. So instead of working on more cards for the current PC submission call, I made a card for the current Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge last night. This week the challenge is "Create Your Own Background". Fun!

Here is the card:

To create my background, I masked the edges of my panel with painter's tape (and temporarily adhered it this way), and added splatters of ink. I used various Distress Inks with water, as well as gold Gelato with water and dried the splatters with my heat-embossing tool before adding the next color. Finally, I applied some ink with an ink-blending tool. The tag was die-cut from patterned paper from the "sweater weather" paper pad. I colored the hedgehog with Distress Inks and water. The speech bubble is from the "into the woods" set. I hope you like it!
