Anything But A Card - A Goodie Bag

Happy Weekend to you! I am here with a last minute entry to the current Lawn Fawnatics Challenge.

I haven't used this cute die for ages, so I wanted to make something with the goodie bag die:

This little scene was created with various under-the-sea-themed sets. The bag is inked with Distress Oxide inks, the images are colored with Copics, the waves are die-cut from vellum.

Masculine Gift Bag

Hi everybody! Today I have a masculine gift bag to share. I made it with the new RG collection Lumberjack Days.

I adhered a piece of the plaid patterned paper to a Kraft gift bag. Then I die-cut a tag from FSJ Black Licorice cardstock and tied on FSJ Black Licorice Journey Thread. I die-cut the saw from FSJ Oatmeal Cookie cardstock and stamped the sentiment with FSJ Black Licorice Ink. Now I colored the handles of the saw with a black marker and adhered the die-cut to the tag. I stamped the face of the Lumberjack onto FSJ Oatmeal Cookie cardstock and colored it with colored pencils, then I fussy-cut the image and adhered it to the tag with FSJ medium Journey Foam Squares. Now I attached the tag to the bag with a clothespin.

Lollipop Flowers

Hey everyone! I hope you are enjoying your weekend! Today I have a cute project for you, some lollipop flowers made with the Richard Garay Celebra'tions collection. These would make fun little Valentines for the classmates of your kids:

I used the stamp & dies set "Just Because" for this. First, I stamped the flowers with matching ink onto matching cardstock (using Odacious Orange, Delightful Daisy, Cotton Candy, Lovely Lavender, Captivating Coral, Cool Caribbean) and die-cut them. Now I punched a hole through the middle of all flowers, always layered three of them and inserted the lollipops. For a prettier stem, I trimmed paper straws and adhered them to the sticks. Finally, I die-cut the little circles from Delightful Daisy cardstock and adhered them to the middle of the lollipops with FSJ Journey Glue Dots.
Fun, isn't it? For the fringe around my flower pot, I used the Fringe Garland die on the pink dotted Celebra'tions patterned paper and tied on some of the pink Linen Thread from the collection.

MLS - Make Live Share

Hello everyone! Today I have a fun project to share. Inspired by Richard Garay's Make Live Share movement, I created a little something for my girl. She is my biggest fan and cheerleader, always jumping up and down with joy about happy news, always admiring my creations and always eager to play with my supplies. So I wanted to surprise her with a special treat.
I loved the idea of this Going Places treat holder from Richard and created my own version of it:

First, I created the base/box with my score board. Then I layered everything on top of it. First came a stripe of patterned paper wrapped around the box, then some twine tied around that. Now I adhered a pink doily and fringe that was die-cut from card stock. I found this cute wood button in my stash, so this came next. Then I die-cut a rectangle from rose card stock and stamped a matching sentiment for my girl. I adhered the rectangle with foam tape, then added the sequins and the butterfly. Finally, I tied a pretty bow from turquoise ribbon and adhered this, too.

She was delighted:

Winnie & Walter A Week To Die For Day 4

Welcome back to the last day of the Winnie & Walter feature "a week to die for"! Today we will show you projects using Goldie Trim Cutaways + Lulu Fringe Cutaways. Here is my first project:

Inspired by flowers I saw on Pinterest, I created these felt flowers using Lulu Fringe Cutaway. It is so much fun to create them! I just die-cut Lulu Fringe from felt, then folded it into half lengthwise and rolled it up. I used Glossy Accents along the edges and it worked perfectly. I adhered the finished flowers to my little gift bag, together with leaves I had die-cut from black cardstock. Then I die-cut the word "congrats" from gold foiled cardstock and adhered it, too. Finally I added some sequins.

Here comes another bag using Lulu Fringe, a non-girly one:

This time, I used crepe paper to die-cut my fringe. It works best on thin paper or flexible material to create perfect loops.

CRATE PAPER BOY'S RULE CHALLENGE

Pretty Packages

Today I have some pretty packages for you. I love everything Crate Paper, and the Close Knit collection is no exception. Here I made some gift wraps with this line:

Heute hab ich ein paar hübsche Päckchen für Euch. Ich liebe alles von Crate Paper und die Close Knit Serie ist da keine Ausnahme. Hier habe ich sie verwendet, um einige Geschenkverpackungen zu machen:

I am not good at wrapping gifts - especially unshapely ones. But using a box or a bag and embellishing them like this is working well for me :)

Ich bin nicht gut im Geschenke einpacken - vor allem bei unförmigen. Aber eine Schachtel oder Tüte zu verwenden und sie dann so zu verzieren klappt für mich gut :)

A Little Something

Yes, I am still here! Life got a bit turbulent and difficult, so there was a little break here on the blog. But today I am back with a cute gift bag:

I created this for the 11th day of Scrapbook Werkstatt's Advent Calendar. A tutorial on how to fold this gift bag can be found in the Scrapbook Werkstatt Forum here. I used Pink Paislee's City Sidewalks line and perfect Hero Arts stamps with matching Sizzix dies. Just love them, they work so well! For a snowy look, I applied white acrylic paint and Stickles. Scrapbook Werkstatt Advents Blog-Hop

Hallo und herzlich Willkommen zu einem neuen Design Team Blog-Hop der Scrapbook Werkstatt! Ihr solltet von meiner lieben Sylvia hierher gehüpft sein. Ich hoffe, wir können Euch heute mit netten Weihnachtsideen verzaubern! Nur noch eine Woche und es geht so richtig los. Uiuiui. So, dann zeig ich Euch mal, was ich für heute vorbereitet habe:



Ich finde es immer toll, etwas selbst zu backen/ zu kochen und dann nett zu verpacken um es zu verschenken. Hier habe ich schnell ein paar gebrannte Mandeln in der Microwelle gezaubert und dann diese Schachtel dazugebastelt. Das Designpapier und Washi findet Ihr im Scrapbook Werkstatt Dezember Kit. Und ganz besonders möchte ich Eure Aufmerksamkeit auf den verwendeten Stempel lenken! Mein allererster, selbstentworfener Stempel! Genau aus dem oben genannten Grund wollte ich gerne einen Stempel, mit dem man Selbstgemachtes verschenken kann. Da isser! Ach, und die Schachtel ist eine digitale Stanze von Lori Whitlock. Ich hoffe, meine Kleinigkeit gefällt Euch. Falls Ihr  Euch auch leckeren Weihnachtsmarktduft nach Hause holen wollt, noch schnell das Rezept für die Mandeln:

200g ungeschälte Mandeln

1 TL Zimt

4 EL brauner Zucker

4 EL Wasser

Alle Zutaten in eine Microwellenschüssel füllen, verrühren und 2 Minuten bei ca. 650 W erhitzen. Dann schön rühren und das Ganze nochmal wiederholen. Man kann aufhören, wenn man sie einfach karamellisiert will und sie dann auf einem Stück Backpapier auskühlen lassen, oder so lange fortfahren, bis sie so aussehen wie meine (wenn sie also trocken werden). Ganz wie man es am liebsten hat. Gutes Gelingen!
