MFT Camp Create: Emboss Resist

Happy Sunday! Today I am sharing a card for the MFT Camp Create: Emboss Resist.

I loved playing around with my colors:

I used the large Floating Petals background stamp and heat-embossed it onto white cardstock. Then I inked the image with Distress Oxide inks and die-cut a part of the stamp and adhered it to the card.

This background stamp is pretty versatile, love the different looks you can achieve! Thanks for stopping by!

MFT Sketch 547

Hello to you! I made a cute card for the current MFT Sketch Challenge 547 using the following sketch.

And here is my last-minute take on it:

I created a dimensional shaker base to add plenty of sequins. To not cover too much of the shaker element, I used vellum underneath my image, which was stamped onto a piece of cardstock, colored with Copic markers and fussy-cut before I adhered it. The sentiment is heat-embossed with white embossing powder.

Have a wonderful day everybody, thank you so much for stopping by :)

MFT Sketch 535 Guest Designer + a tutorial!

Hello to you! It's my last day guesting for the MFT March Sketch Challenge. Besides my take on the sketch, you'll get a tutorial on how to color number balloons to make them look like foil number balloons. I got asked a lot about them on previous cards, so here it is. But first comes Sketch 535:

And this is what I made inspired by it:

Here I started with a white card base and stamped the Pumped-Up Numbers with grey ink. After I had added highlights with a white gel pen, I added a strip of grey cardstock, a rectangle of white cardstock and covered the front with vellum to tone it down. Now I stamped the images, colored them, fussy-cut the pieces and adhered them to the card. Finally, I stamped the sentiment onto a strip of pink cardstock, heat-embossed it with white embossing powder, trimmed it and adhered it to the card.

This cute little bear always makes me happy! But now to the promised tutorial. I hope you like it!

Will you try this? Let me know what you think. And don't forget to join the MFT Sketch Challenge this week for your chance to win $50 to the MFT shop! Thanks for visiting today!

Hello to you! Welcome back to another week guesting for MFT. Today the new Sketch 534 is up and this time it is a slimline card design:

Here comes my take, are you ready for take-off?

The adorable new High-flying Adventure stamp set fit perfectly for this sketch. I love this little bunny holding on to the string. On the background, I created light pink clouds with Spun Sugar Distress Oxide ink, using the Cloud Stencil. I colored the images with Copic markers and the sentiment is heat-embossed using white embossing powder.

MFT Sketch 533 Guest Designer

Hello again! I am back with my card guesting for this week's MFT Sketch 533.  This is the wonderful sketch:

And here comes my monochromatic, girly take:

I first stamped the gnomie and the eggs, masked them and inked the background to create the hills, using Spun Sugar and Victorian Velvet Distress Oxide Inks. Then I stamped the greenery and flowers, removed the masks and colored the images with Copic markers. After I had adhered the panel to my card base, I stamped the sentiment onto a strip of cardstock, heat-embossed it with white embossing powder, trimmed it and adhered it.

These gnomes make me smile. So lovely! Now it is your turn, I hope you will join us this week for the Sketch Challenge. Thank you so much for visiting!

Hugs,

MFT & Friends March 2021 Release

Welcome to the MFT & Friends March 2021 Release! I am thankful to be guesting this month, and have created samples using the new release for your inspiration. It feels like an early birthday present, March being my birthday month! So grab a cup of whatever you prefer and enjoy the cards. I hope you like what you see!

The new BB Spring Gnomes set is the cutest, don't you agree? Here I colored them with Copic markers, the background is inked with Cracked Pistachio, Squeezed Lemonade, Spun Sugar and Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide inks.

To make the die-cut letters stand out better, I added a rectangle of vellum behind them.

The new Stacey Yacula set is next:

I wonder what these little bears whisper into each others ear? I wish I had their heart-shaped flowers in my garden! This background was ink blended using Spun Sugar, Picked Raspberry and Festive Berries Distress Oxides. The images are colored with Copics. This garden gate is a new favorite of mine!

Ready for take-off? Good, because here comes the Amazing Airplane Die-namics:

This die is such fun! I wanted to put all the cute critters from my stash into the planes. Here I chose to add the bears from Partners In Adventure. The background and the planes are inked with Cracked Pistachio, Peacock Feathers, Spun Sugar, Picked Raspberries, Milled Lavender and Wilted Violet Oxides.

And finally a card using a lovely new Rachelle Anne Miller set:

This little girl is from the RAM Rainy Day Friends. I gave her a rainbow that I created with Distress Oxide inks. The images are colored with Copics again. This is a one-layer card made with masking paper.

You made it through all the cards! I hope you enjoyed them and that you were inspired! Now be sure to stop by the MFT Blog to see all the fabulous creations everybody came up with for today and to find the details on how to win $100 to the MFT shop! MFT Sketch 532 Guest Designer

Hello to you! It's Wednesday, time for the new MFT Sketch Challenge 532. I am pleased to be back for my second week guesting for My Favorite Things. This week's sketch is such fun:

Don't you agree? I was wondering how to replace the star shape and just arranged my images to achieve this:

Yes, I couldn't resist to use the BB Mice Day to Celebrate again! I am in love with this stamp set. First, I stamped my images onto the panel of white cardstock, building up the scene by masking the stamped images before stamping the next image. Then I used tape to mask off the background and applied Cracked Pistachio and Pine Needles Distress Oxide Inks. Now I stamped the Happy Birthday Background and removed all the masks from the panel.

After I had colored the images with Copic markers and added details with a white gel pen, I adhered the panel to a pink card base. I stamped the sentiment from BB Bitty Bears onto a strip of black cardstock, heat-embossed it with white embossing powder, trimmed it and adhered it to the card. Finally, I added tiny star confetti, resuming the star shape again.

I hope you like my take on this week's sketch. I would love to join this cute party! Now it is your turn. Join the fun on the MFT blog for your chance to win 50$ MFT cash! Thank you for visiting today, I'll be back soon with more. Can't wait!

MFT Sketch 531 Guest Designer

Hello to you from a thrilled girl! I am allowed to guest for My Favorite Things again this month, joining the wonderful Design Team for the weekly Sketch Challenges. So without further ado, here comes sketch 531:

I immediately thought of photographs displayed on a wall and this is the result:

I first trimmed a panel of Tropical Teal cardstock slightly smaller than my card base and adhered it. Now I trimmed a strip of white cardstock, inked it with Cracked Pistachio Distress Oxide ink and adhered it to the middle. Then I cut two rectangles from white cardstock, inked the background with Squeezed Lemonade, Cracked Pistachio and Peacock Feathers Distress Oxide Inks and drew around the edges with a black marker.

Now I stamped the adorable images from BB Picture Perfect onto white cardstock, colored them with Copic markers, added details with a white gel pen, fussy-cut the cuties and adhered them to the rectangles before adhering these to the card.

Finally, I stamped the sentiment onto black cardstock, heat-embossed it with white embossing powder, trimmed it and adhered it to the card.

This makes me smile and I hope it does the same to you! I hope you'll join us for the challenge for your chance to win $50 MFT cash! Thank you for stopping by today and thank you, MFT!!

Another Slimline Birthday Card

Hello again! I am back with another slimline birthday card for the MFT Slimline Challenge - Birthday Wishes. I am using the same stamp set, this time combined with a watercolor background:

First, I stamped and masked all my images onto the white cardstock panel. Then I masked off stripes and inked the background with Distress Oxide Inks. Now I blended the stripes with a watertank brush, let it dry and removed the masks. I colored the images with Copic markers, stamped the sentiment and added details with a white gel pen before adhering the panel to the card base.

This card was made with a single stamp set, I just love these cute mice!!

I hope you are having a wonderful day! Thank you for stopping by!

Happy Friday! I am back with a cute slimline winter scene card for the MFT January Slimline Challenge Winter Scenes. We've been having tons of snow and I can't remember when it was as cool as at the moment here, so I had enough inspiration looking out of the window.

The panel is one layer, I masked everything. The images are colored with Copic markers, the background was inked with Distress Oxide inks Wilted Violet, Dried Marigold and Scattered Straw. The sentiment is heat-embossed with white embossing powder.

LOVE - MFT Box Card

Hello there! With Valentine's Day just around the corner, I wanted to create another love themed card. This one is for the current MFT Outside the Box Challenge - Love is in the Air.

I used Copic Markers to color my images from a mix of various SY sets, find all the sets below. For the background, I used Broken Glass, Spun Sugar and Wilted Violet Distress Oxide Inks. For the bottom part of the box I used Cracked Pistachio.

I trimmed the bottom part of the Outside the Box Die-namics so the images can shine. The Love is from the Christmas Die-namics Joy, Love and Peace and is inked with the Distress Oxide Inks, too.

I hope these cuties made you smile today! Thanks for stopping by!

MFT Color Challenge - Air Hugs

Happy Weekend everybody! I created a card for the new MFT Color Challenge using this fun palette:

I've been wanting to use my new background stamp called City Block Background, this card was perfect for it:

I first stamped the images, masked them and stamped the background afterwards. Then I inked the bottom and removed the masks. After I had colored the images with Copics, I stamped the sentiment, heat-embossed it with white embossing powder and trimmed the strip before adhering it to the card. Finally, I spelled the rest of the sentiment with letters I had die-cut from black cardstock.

These bears are too cute, I hope they'll bring a smile to the recipient's face!

Thanks for visiting!
