Hero Arts Owls

Happy Monday! After a long, exhausting day at work I came home and found out about the new Hero Arts challenge this month! What a sweet surprise that the new theme is Creatures and Cards for Kids! Why? Well, because I was so inspired by the last Social Club Thursday that I had some fun creating cards with cute owls over the last days! Perfect :) Here are two cards I made that will be entered to the new challenge:


This first one is a hybrid card. I used the Sweet Owls printables here. The cutie is colored with Copics. The background is stamped with the Woodgrain stamp using Versamark ink. I cut out the image to adhere it with foam tape for more dimension. Here are two more pics:




Now to the second card. A colleague asked me to create a card for her to give to a couple who is getting married. They love pets and cute things. So I made her this card:


I just had to use the woodgrain stamp again. Here I heat-embossed it with white embossing powder. The copic-colored owls are sitting on a tiny branch from our garden. (Glossy Accents is very useful for adhering things like branches to a card!) That sentiment says something like "heartfelt best wishes". I had to use a German one for this card.


Owl-Mania. I have another fun-colored owl sitting on my desk that will find its way onto a card soon. Hero Arts owls really are some of the cutest!
