Happy Friday! I've been enjoying coloring with various media for Kathy's The Daily Marker 30 Day Coloring Challenge, especially together with my girl. Last time, we used Distress Inks and an ink blending tool to color the large flower from the SSS/Winnie & Walter collaboration set {Heidi's} Big Bloom. Now I put my flower on a card and will enter it to the current SSS Flickr Challenge #66 "Get Coloring!".
For my card, I trimmed a panel of patterned paper slightly smaller than the pink card base and adhered it. Then I stamped the sentiment from the SSS set Big Scripty Greetings with black dye ink.
For the flower, I first stamped the image twice onto white cardstock and applied Distress Inks to them, trying to make them darker in the middle and lighter towards the outer areas. Then I fussy-cut one whole flower and the inner part of the second flower. Before assembling them with foam tape, I added white and black dots to make it more interesting. I stamped, colored and fussy-cut the leaves the same way, assembled everything and adhered it to the card.
That's it for today! Thank you for visiting and have a wonderful day!
