Fun Christmas Ornament

Crate Paper's Creative Weekly challenge for December is all about ornaments. Luckily the deadline for submitting an ornament has been extended and I was able to realize the idea I had in my head:

Hehe, we had some fun with photo props and the selftimer :) The base of this ornament is a sturdy chipboard heart. I have used paper, stickers, a button and Thickers from the collections On Trend, Story Teller and Peppermint. An ornament that will surely make me smile in the years to come!

Hihi, wir hatten ein wenig Spass mit lustigen Requisiten und dem Selbstauslöser :) Die Basis des Anhängers ist ein stabiles Kartonherz. Ich habe Papier, Aufkleber, einen Knopf und Thickers aus den Kollektionen On Trend, Story Teller und Peppermint verwendet. Ein Anhänger der mir in den kommenden Jahren bestimmt ein Lächeln aufs Gesicht zaubern wird!

All Hallow's Eve

Hi! I am back with more Halloween projects. Today a card and an easy treatbag topper:

Everything is from the Carta Bella All Hallow's Eve collection again. For the treatbag topper, I just die-cut a label from patterned paper and folded it into half. Some stickers and voilà! Halloween Décor

Here comes a little Halloween Décor project using Carta Bella:

Christmas Memories - With Tutorial

Here comes another minialbum with a tutorial. I got to work with some Jenni Bowlin yumminess this month and wanted to try a mini from one of the project life page protectors. So I combined everything to this:

I added some stickers and the lovely golden ribbon from the Dear Lizzy 5th & Frolic collection. The gold just adds the perfect festive touch to the album. Here comes the simple tutorial:

Really simple. You can now fill the pockets with lots of photos, journaling, memorabilia etc. I covered the spine with another strip of washi to hide the stitching. And this is my finished album:

Echt einfach. Jetzt könnt Ihr die Taschen mit vielen Fotos, Text, Erinnerungsstücken etc füllen. Ich habe meinen Buchrücken mit einem weiteren Streifen Washi beklebt um die Naht zu verstecken. Und hier ist das fertige Album:

File Folder Mini - With Tutorial

It's time for another tutorial. I made a mini album for my mother for her 60th birthday:

Onto the fabric on the front I stamped with real leaves. And the base is made from a simple file folder. Here is how I made it:

For a Crafty Friend - and a new winner!

Hello! I have another project to share using my beloved Echo Park For the Record 2 Tailored collection. And I had to draw a new winner of the Paper Crafts blog hop, because Teresa never contacted me. First, my project:

Ever since I got Maya Road chipboard in that cute suitcase, I've been wanting to decorate it and use it to give away a sweet little something. So this collection just made everything perfect. A gift for a crafty friend. The contents are not all in yet, but I wanted you to be able to see the suitcase well. I will add some cute stickpins and more ribbon and seambinding etc. This adorable Echo Park collection is available here at Scrapbook Werkstatt.

Seitdem ich Maya Road Stanzteilchen in diesem putzigen Koffer bekommen hatte, wollte ich ihn dekorieren und als hübsche Geschenkverpackung verwenden. Diese tolle Linie machte alles perfekt. You are a Scream

Boo! From christmas projects to summer memories to Halloween. Sigh, the paper crafting world is so confusing! But I enjoy it. It never gets boring. So today is about some spooky Halloween projects. Oh, how I love this holiday and it is such a pity that it is not really being celebrated here in Germany. When I was little, we had families of US soldiers in our neighborhood and were surprised when they knocked on our doors on Halloween for the very first time. But after we had learned about it, we were always prepared for that day with enough sweets. Ever since, I have been hoping that this holiday would become more popular here, but it still isn't as much as I wish. 

Buuh! Von Weihnachtsprojekten zu Sommererinnerungen zu Halloween. Seufz, die Papierbastlerwelt ist so verwirrend! Aber mir gefällts. Es wird nie langweilig. Also geht es heute um gruselige Halloween Projekte. Oh, ich mag dieses Fest und es ist so schade, dass es in Deutschland nicht so richtig gefeiert wird. Als ich klein war, hatten wir Familien von US Soldaten in unserer Nachbarschaft und waren sehr überrascht, als sie das erste Mal an Halloween bei uns an die Tür klopften. Aber als wir dann Bescheid wussten, waren wir auf diesen Tag immer vorbereitet mit genug Süssigkeiten. Seitdem hatte ich immer gehofft, dass dieses Fest bei uns populärer werden würde, aber es ist leider noch nicht so wie ich es mir wünschen würde.

Yummy potion, isn't it? I used the Authentique Enchanted collection for my apothecary jar and the coffin. And the coffin is a digi die from Lori Whitlock. So is the spider. For a creepy content of the jar, I brewed some black tea and put it into the jar with some soy pieces. My husband had the idea to try gum worms, I am sure that would be nice, too. On the outside of the jar, I applied some alcohol ink and let it run down the glass a bit to make it look uglier. The Enchanted collection is available here at Scrapbook Werkstatt. You'll love it! Lecker Zaubertrank, nicht wahr? Ich habe die Authentique Enchanted Linie für mein Apothekerglas und den Sarg verwendet. Und der Sarg ist eine digitale Stanze von Lori Whitlock. Die Spinne auch. Um den Inhalt des Glases möglichst gruselig zu machen, habe ich schwarzen Tee mit einigen Sojabrocken eingefüllt. Mein Mann hat noch Gummiwürmer vorgeschlagen, ich bin mir sicher das wäre auch nett. Auf der Aussenseite des Glases habe ich ein etwas Alkoholtinte herunterlaufen lassen um das Glas ein wenig ekliger zu machen. Die Enchanted Kollektion bekommt Ihr hier bei der Scrapbook Werkstatt. Schultüte

Hi! If you are wondering about the title, I didn't know how to translate this item into English. In Germany, the kids get a Schultüte on their very first day of school. It's a (hopefully) pretty paper cone filled with candy and little gifts. My friend's daughter will start school next week, so I made her a little Schultüte when we visited last week:

Hi! Naja, Euch muss ich eine Schultüte ja nicht erklären :) Ich habe für die Tochter einer Freundin eine kleine Schultüte als Geschenk gemacht, als wir sie letzte Woche besucht haben:

My daughter was proud to pose with the Schultüte. I can't believe she will already be starting school in two years! I used the new Carta Bella Alphabet Junction for this project. Thanks again to Carta Bella for this fun prize! This line was just perfect to create the Schultüte. 

Meine Tochter posierte ganz stolz mit der Schultüte. Ich kann gar nicht glauben, dass sie in zwei Jahren auch schon in die Schule kommt! Für dieses Projekt habe ich die neue Alphabet Junction Linie von Carta Bella verwendet. Danke nochmal an Carta Bella für diesen schönen Preis! Diese Kollektion war einfach perfekt für die Schultüte. SAF 2012 - Beaded Friendship Bracelet Challenge

Yes, me again! I made a bracelet out of paper beads for another stamp-a-faire challenge:

Ja, ich schon wieder! Ich habe ein Armband aus Papierperlen für eine weitere Stamp-A-Faire Challenge gemacht:

It's for my girl. I didn't have any clasps or other stuff for jewelry making, so I used twine. And I thought the button would be a fun detail. I also used normal patterned paper, it worked well. Trying to get a card set done next :)

Dieses ist für meine Kleine. Ich hatte keine Verschlüsse oder anderes Zeugs um Kettchen zu machen, also habe ich einfach dieses Garn verwendet. Und ich dachte mir, der Knopf wäre ein nettes Detail. Ich habe auch ganz normales Designpapier verwendet, das hat gut funktioniert. Als nächstes schau ich mal, ob ich ein Kartenset fertig bekomme :)

9 to 5 Pinboard

Hello! So, today I have an home décor item to share. I saw this challenge on the October Afternoon blog and the idea to create a pinboard with the 9 to 5 line using this sketch:


Hallo! So, heute habe ich eine Deko fürs Zuhause zu zeigen. Ich hatte dieses Challenge auf dem October Afternoon Blog gesehen und in meinem Kopf spukte die Idee herum, eine Pinnwand mit der 9 to 5 Linie zu gestalten und dabei diesem Sketch zu folgen:

Hier kommt was ich daraus gemacht habe:

This top portion is following the sketch, the bottom portion is just making the pinboard more useful.


Dieser obere Teil ist dem Sketch nachempfunden, der untere Teil macht die Pinnwand einfach praktischer.

For every weekday (mo-fr) there is a little folder to hold receipts or tickets or things like that. And the stickpins and paperclips can hold notes etc.


Für jeden Wochentag (Mo-Fr) gibt es einen kleinen Ordner um Quittungen oder Eintrittskarten oder ähnliches aufzubewahren. Und die Stecknadeln und Klammern können Notizen usw festhalten.

On the bottom I attached a tin to hold pens, a list to jot down the most important phonenumbers and a notepad.

Mother's Day Box

Hi! I am back to share a box I made for my Mama for Mother's Day. I thought I'd quickly share it in case anyone needs an idea for tomorrow. This is a box I made to hold some yummy pralinés:


Hi! Ich bin wieder da um eine Box zu zeigen, die ich für meine Mama zum Muttertag gemacht habe. Ich dachte ich zeige sie schnell, falls noch jemand eine Idee für morgen sucht. Diese Box habe ich gemacht, um darin ein paar leckere Pralinen zu schenken:

The base is a plain brown box that I painted with white acrylic paint. Then I used pretty paper from Pink Paislee's London Market collection and covered the box. The edges are inked with distress ink. That branch is a digital die-cut from Lori Whitlock, the flowers and pearls are from Prima Marketing.


Die Basis ist eine einfache braune Box, die ich mit weisser Acrylfarbe angemalt habe. Dann habe ich hübsches Papier aus der London Market Kollektion von Pink Paislee verwendet, um die Box zu überziehen. Die Kanten sind mit Distress Ink gefärbt. Der Ast ist eine digitale Stanze von Lori Whitlock, die Blumen und Perlen sind von Prima Marketing.
