Sunny Studio's 7th Birthday Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the Sunny Studio's 7th Birthday Blog Hop! I can't believe it's been a year since I posted on this blog. I didn't stop creating, I am just sharing my cards on Instagram rather than posting long blog posts, so find me there if you like to :)

Happy Birthday Sunny Studio!

Today you will find amazing inspiration along this blog hop and you'll get to see products from the newest release in action. Be sure to read the details at the bottom of this post about how to win a $25 gift code to the Sunny Studio Shop. If you started from the beginning, you should have arrived from the amazing Kavya. I am sure she made your jaw drop with her beautifully colored creation!

Here comes my first card made with the new release:

I chose to use the super adorable new set called "Too Cute To Spook" and combined it with various older dies. First, I masked a circle on a white cardstock panel and inked the background with Carved Pumpkin and Wilted Violet Distress Oxide Inks. Using a cloud stencil, I created the clouds from bottom to top, adding light shading with black ink. After I had removed the mask, I inked the moon with Squeezed Lemonade Distress Oxide ink and adhered the panel to a black card base.

Now I die-cut the trees, the fence and the grassy border from black cardstock, trimmed the pieces and adhered them to the card. I stamped all the images onto white cardstock, colored the elements with Copic markers, die-cut them with the matching dies and adhered everything to the card with foam tape.

I hope you love this set as much as I do! These critters and this bat!

Be sure to leave me a comment on this post before Wednesday, August 31st for your chance to win a $25 gift card. For more chances, leave a comment on every stop of the hop. This is the hopping order:

MFT Camp Create: Emboss Resist

Happy Sunday! Today I am sharing a card for the MFT Camp Create: Emboss Resist.

I loved playing around with my colors:

I used the large Floating Petals background stamp and heat-embossed it onto white cardstock. Then I inked the image with Distress Oxide inks and die-cut a part of the stamp and adhered it to the card.

This background stamp is pretty versatile, love the different looks you can achieve! Thanks for stopping by!

99 Red Balloons - Lawn Fawnatics Challenge

Happy weekend! After my daughter shared her card yesterday, I am back with my card for the current Lawn Fawnatics Challenge. We love being inspired by fun challenges and enjoy creating together.

My first ever favorite song I can remember was 99 Red Balloons from Nena when I was in Kindergarten. Of course, I loved the original, German version that only says 99 Balloons and nothing about red - but for my card it was perfect:

The balloons were stamped, masked, stamped and so on. Then I masked off the rectangle and inked the background with Chipped Sapphire Distress Oxide Ink. I added a red line with a marker around that rectangle and colored my balloons with Copics. Not sure how I like my try to make them look translucent by indicating the shapes with a pencil! I added highlights with a white gel pen and adhered my panel to the card base. After I had stamped and heat-embossed the sentiment onto a strip of blue cardstock, I adhered it together with tiny star sequins.

Having the song in your head now? You are welcome! Thank you so much for stopping by, have a wonderful weekend and happy Easter!

Night Sky Card - MFT Wednesday Sketch Challenge

Hello crafty friends! Today I am sharing a card made for this week's MFT Wednesday Sketch Challenge #254. I love that this one is a slimline sketch:

Instead of using circle dies, I replaced the spaces with images:

I started with a white cardstock panel and stamped the images. Now I colored the houses and masked the balloon and the moon. I applied Distress Oxide Inks (Tumbled Glass, Salty Ocean, Blueprint Sketch, Chipped Sapphire) all over the panel and added clouds with the various MFT Cloud Stencils. Then I removed the masks and colored the balloon and the moon. Finally, I stamped the sentiment onto a strip of berry cardstock, heat-embossed it with white embossing powder and adhered everything to the card base.

These cute faces! Thank you for stopping by today, I hope we'll all see the loved ones we have been missing for so long now, soon!
